Im always on the look-out for sleeper or new and interesting games.  Wondering if anyone has experience with Crowns of Power and thoughts.

I've been awaiting Darkfall, I recently quit WAR I've played near every single game in the forums list going all the way back to Ultima Online.

About 2 weeks ago I stumbled upon Crowns of Power on the LFG board here and started playing.  Personally I've had a blast.  Very active community, and the game is simple and fun.  Open pvp once you hit level 20, the grind is pretty small, I just hit level 30 today and have played very casually over the last 2 weeks.

I will say the first 5 -8 levels or so are pretty lame and I almost quit within the first 20 minutes.  I guess if you are looking for something casual, free and nothing crazy hardcore then this game is a good time killer.  I'm awaiting all the 09 releases but mostly Darkfall.  Like I said if you can hang in there past the first 8 levels or so it's really a fun game.

Isnt the level cap like only 50 anyway?

the concepts and ideas sound nice but the game lacks any sort of style visually. It screams out blah when looking at the visuals. It almost seems as if they tried to make it photorealistic by slapping on real life textures onto objects that don't support them.

Kind of looks like they're using the same engine used for EQ1.

The graphics looks actually better than in EverQuest II but I have played many MMO:s so I have trained eyes.

Don't like the part that other players can kill you after level 20 though, so I will steer clear of this one.

I'd have to say that I have alot of respect for anyone that strives to an mmo/mmorpg. I however have been so spoiled by Runes of Magic open beta and overall quality and well-though-out design that I had to uninstall Crowns of Power.  Kudos though.

I like pvp and i am 50 in crowns of power along with several in my guild we will be playing this until darkfall it reminds me of AC darktide days  u can loot in pvp 2 a good plus and a lot of events are ran by the gms.

 I gave it a try, but couldn't stand the graphics and animations and quests for more than 40 minutes at best :( 

looks better than EQ2? really? not even close and EQ2 is 5 years old. I have only seen screen shots from the site but comeon now Jefferson81 lol silly boy.......but I am downloading now to try it out. Graphics dont make a game so I will give it a shot. Just thought that statement was a silly one.

GFX dont make a game true that and it isnt eq2 but it isnt bad reminds me of AC and i liked ac  if u need help whisper Stormkrash when im on il answer any questions or pm me here or  on my guild forums
