Was wondering because the copy I was going to buy off of Amazon does not come with one, and the seller told me he didnt know how it works or if there is one. Does anyone know? I would rather not spend $50 dollars on a 5 year old game.

If you're talking about for the PC then well I don't know, but for a console it doesn't. If you're talking about the keys used for gametime then they stopped selling those years ago (atleast in Chicago they did). There were a people selling bunches of gamecards (packs of 50 for less than 10 bucks) on Ebay, but all those were bought up by the people who still play.

So basically what I'm saying is if you get the game you're gonna have to use a credit card to play or you can't play at all.

The strong needs not valor...Only a relentless will that goes against fate...

Yes, it requires an account activation key, which should be printed on the instruction manual, or somewhere inside the package (and must not have been used already).

Sorry, for the PS2 it does require a key, which happens to be printed on the manual.

OP,

The guy on Amazon is obviously trying to rip you off. There is no way to get the key other than buying a brand new game. And the cards they sell at SOE Station ca be used for EQ.EQ2, and EQOA.

the game has a serial key printed on the manual, if you dig around say a Fry's Electronics they should have a few copies laying around.

You can register the game to your station account if you have one already. It does work on the PS3 as well.

It was my first mmo way back when. I picked up a copy of Frontiers earlier in the year they made massive changes to the game. I remember when they just added crafting. They gave it a small graphical overhaul.

It is a bit of a ghost town though, that's the only reason I stopped playing. I was on castle lightwolf server.

Current Games:EQ2, Lineage II, Guild Wars
