There are 3 people on these boards.  Fanbois, Skeptics, and haters.  I'm betting that the fanboys are actually on the lowest end of this totem pole as far as numbers go, but I thought it would be a great opportunity to actually take a look, and to actually see who is who amounst the posters here.

I'll start.  I'm a Skeptic.  I don't believe all of the hype behind this game.  Vague comments and speculation by the devs as well as the posters on this forum lend to that sort of attitude.

I agree with this statement.  The game does appear to be different, and I'm tired of the same BS that's been fed to us for the past few years (aka WoW remakes.. )  I'm not worried about how "playable" the game is at launch, though, I'm mostly worried about the validity of the completedness of it.  With some features STILL not turned on before open beta/stress test?? How can this be good?

None. Not a fanboy, but not a skeptic or hater. I think it will come out and be good, at least for a while, but it most certainly will not be the best game ever. There will be better games made in time. It will probably be the best MMO made so far though...

I guess I would be considered a skeptic since there wasn't a indifferent option. I'm indifferent since in the scope of my life DF wont change it. i will either play GW until GW2 comes out or I will play DF. Either way my life continues.

All of those titles are completely subjective. However, i am skeptical of the game. I realize it’s an indi studio, and had they themselves realized it...perhaps some would have more compassion. However, the amount of mistruths over the years, and attempting to play with the big boys have left a bad taste in my mouth about this game.

Skeptical but frankly not showing much interest in it. I'm going to wait for Open Beta/NDA drop, some user-made vids, physical proof that most or all of their features are complete and in the game, and at least a 10% increase in frothing-at-the-mouth fanbois before I can judge it accurately. One thing I know for sure: it'll be a niche game. Which is acceptable, they're not trying to make it mainstream.

Im just skeptical of its actual release not on gameplay. I hope it does release so i can try it out.

My category would be "Indifferent".  When the game launches I'll try it, if I like it I'll continue playing, if not I'll go somewhere else.  I take other peoples opinion with a grain of salt and have no vested interest in the game succeeding or failing.

Skeptic.............. They have lots of good ideas and I think they could be fun, but those ideas appear to be poorly implemented.   I still can't understand why adventurine is not doing an open beta, when half of the game play is dependent upon a player's decision (PVP).  It just feels like they're building a race car and planning to race it on race day without even trying to start it.

I hope DF will be the best MMO i have ever played, and i have never had any problems before with any MMO i have waited for. The NGE, SOE pulled on SWG is the worst thing i have seen. And SWG was three years old at the time, and a big experianced developer......so for me the name of the company means shit nowdays : )

I'm a fanboy, but get slightly skeptical at times. When I think about the fact that the NDA is in effect this close to launch, and a few other reasons.

Skeptics are definately the most popular on thos forum, people who WANT the game to succede, but just don't trust it what so ever, I totally understand that.

But yeah, I'm a 'fanboy' I guess, because I believe what's being said about Darkfall, and I believe that it's launch will be a success, and that it will be a quality product, and absolutely amazing game.

I understand that english isn't your first language.. And you're not that bad at reading it.

However, Please look up the word CRITIC, You'll see that it doesn't quite fit what you want.  They look at things objectivly.

Also, the majority of your post is written from the perspective of a Fanboi.. that that you have only positive and negative

Im just excited to see if the Darkfall story ends in standing ovations or heartbreak and misery. Im not personally into the game and just browsing the forum for a laugh.

ps. Im not much for happy endings.. I guess that puts me in the category of hater. On the other hand, I wouldnt consider myself a troll so meh.. Voted hater anyways :)

I would say that I was neutral.  It is not possible for form an opinon based the extremely scant amount of information available.  There is no reason to disbelieve the devs as they haven't actually be proven to have told any lies, in fact everything that they have been accused of previously has been shown to be false when the full facts come to light.  However as a lot of things have not been confirmed yet it is still too early to judge.  Best thing to do in my opinion is wait until release and then if there isn't a large amount of negativity from well constructed reports then try it yourself. But then again if you are the kind of person that doesn't like other players having an impact on your game then I wouldn't bother.

I don't want to insult you because you made a good point.  But to me it comes down to common sense and a bit of knowledge about how game development works.   Yes, maybe they haven't really lied about anything so far, but at some point common sense tells you that what they are promising cannot actually happen... each day that goes by without any word on the beta or without any details about gameplay or payment methods, just leads me to be believe there is no way a real 'feature complete' game will launch on Jan 22nd.  They promised things that major developers haven't been able to deliver, and they are doing it without a real beta test?

I don't have to explore the north pole to know there isn't some guy who delivers toys to every house in the world on the same night.
