Ok, Earthrise is a pvp focus game i have read, dunno if its true, but, any thought or facs on how the pve content will be? I come from alot of pve games, but i also come from warhammer online, i think i lost the interest in the game cous it was to much instance pvp, cous that mean, not so much world pvp and pve group hunts. I hope to god earthrise will have more pve content in the game, cous a mmorpg cant stay alive will almoste only pvp orientated, well thats what i think atleast. What do u guys think, anyone know how the pve will be in the game? Anyone have the same thoughts here at all? :-) |

First off it's open world PvP, no magic little bubble to prevent or encourage PvP. As for PvE, I don't think the Devs are really looking to seperate PvP/PvE any more than neccesary. I like the idea that combat is combat whether its a server generated Bear or "Joe" playing from 3 time zones away. IMO that ideal will power the (true) next generation of MMOs. Picture dynamic servers that generate quests that help shape its "world". Factions that issue quests with little distinction between an infestation of NPCs or a hostile player/guild that is blocking its goals. Somewhere between the sandbox and themeparks we find a magical "playground". The playground is the future of MMOs. |

BTW I doubt that they will go as far on combining them as I layed out. Best way to sum up what they have anounced is quests will exist and be longer and more meaningful than go kill 10 boars (stuff like protect/assualt a town). There will be some sort of repeatable missions (kill, collect deliver). An RvR flavor exists for some quests and the objectives have been described as open enough to allow several methods to complete them. The fully dynamic server dream I described is probably still a ways off for any game to use. |

I find it strange no other game than SWG have terminal as mission for money, i find that mission way very cool, cous that was another way to earn money and was fun. Gather a group and take 2 mission each, and let the hunt begin, any hope there will some kind of this in earthrise? mission terminals, or waypoints like in swg? |

There will certainly be terminals and at the very least they will be mission givers for bounty hunters (along with being used for insurance and at least some banking). How much else is unconfirmed as far as I know. |

terminals? any idea on how it will be? Sounds amazing! Also u say for bounty hunters.. is that something everyone can go do, or is that a class? |

Bounty Hunting will be open to everyone (no classes, just different builds) but there may be some sort of qualification (buy a permit or a quest) to be a bounty hunter. How extensive the terminals will be... I won't say. There's been many discussions about how terminals could be among the board faithful along with some official hints. Things like crafter/merc ads have come up along with a "craigslist" player mission system, but none of that is confirmed. Those would be beyond the BH and insurance that are confirmed for the terminals. |

http://forums.play-earthrise.com/index.php?topic=2423.0 That has a little bit of pvp quest info... Tho it is not a lot.
Ermmm PvE.. Well I can tell you now, you will not advance anywhere without PvE content in earthrise. In order to advance your skills you have to participate in PvE content. So killing players will not do anything.(bad idea from masthead and I do not agree with it but whatever. Tho I hope they have changed this.) The storyline from my understand is really REALLY deep. They have created a team of writers just for the lore. Which will most like turn into PvE quests. As ghst has already said it will be more than go and kill x amount of things. It will be more like go to this location check it out get this, talk to this person. Do this for this person. Retrive this item. Bring it back. etc... Not really the best example as I am only interested in the PvP part of this game. Masthead has stated that you can go through the game without even touching the PvP of the game. Even tho you will be missing out on a lot of the mechanics....

Originally posted by Kazzer I agree with you housing is always awesome and adds more to the game. Sadly however there will not be housing in Earhrise at launch. Maybe later on but not at launch, as Masthead wants to concentrate more on actual needed mechanics (territorial conquest, pvp, crafting, etc..) and get those squared away before moving on. As player housing is not a priotry in games and also there will be guild bases in the game. That should keep people entertained until player housing.
