Oh, I wish you could see my screen every detail in color is perfect and darker with more detail instead of all bright

Changing the color setting of my screen made the graphics look way better to me. I put mine on Movie that has a lower contrast.

The graphics are really spectacular. I've seen many aion live feeds. The hair is flowing and realistic....not plastered as you say.  You really have to see live gameplay and high graphics screenshots. Whoever took this shot must not have had the best graphics card.  Just give it a try when it comes out and i guarentee you'll take back what you say here. IMHO it's thee most amazing mmo ever made in every way.  I especially love this game because it's soo beautiful, that you could just sit there and stare at the screen and take it all in. Aaaaand.....AoC graphics makes me hurl  xD (more like WoW graphics >.<)  Srry that's just how i feel about it.

Short answer: No.  The art style is the same but the quality isn't. Most F2P games arrive in the west a few years later then it first launched so they are already outdated by the time english folk get to play.. O.o

I play AoC a bit again, and yes the graphics are great, are they better? Not really, they are more demanding, but Aion's textures look positively delicious. If you look at the fauna in AoC or Dreamfall, it's not all that great. So while Aion's models are less intensive on your system the combination of awesome texturing and lighting effects is really what makes the difference.

Not to mention that F2P doesnt get great updates at all.. unlike P2P

Thats not true. I play many F2P MMOs that get updates on a regular. Witha few decent content packages here and there. I just say finding a good "free" MMO like that is rare at best... Mabinogi does a good job if thats ur taste in game.. very RPGy though.

As for the graphics, I'll assume its based on your personal settings and what runs best on your PC. So odds are it wont look as good on your komputer... less u have the best of the best system but even that might not factor in,some games just run funny on certain komputers. lol

Also: Not that its new or anything, but NeoCron has went F2P and offers more content then any game I've ever played tbh. Its a lil mix-up on whats going on. But the game is free u just pay for the license. I think thats 9.99 or something.. im not sure. Its worth it.

I have also played a few F2P games that got regular updates and looked ok. They where also fun to play with friends. What I did not like about them was the item malls (but hay, they have to make money for there work) but I can live with item malls as long as they don't brake the game play. Second thing I did not like was the grinder/time sink of them. That is why I moved on.

Atleast some of the hair moves in Aion.

all you nubs need to stop worrying about graphics, they dont make the game, the game play does. Thats why people still play UO.

A very nice thread for someone like myself, looking for more impression on the game's graphical appearance.

While I like some of the game#s ideas in regards to gameplay, the overall appearance both, in graphics as well as in it's sound, always was a pushback. However, it's always good to do more research to try and find out if it would really be gamebreaking on the individual level, as graphics is far from overly important for sure.
Well, what I saw brought together in this thread to me means Aion is not a game for me. I just dislike the style too much to be able to get immersed in the game. Things like mixing up medieval style with baroque elements are just a no go for my taste.

BUT, and that's important in regards to the OP, it's completely over the edge to go and state the gfx of this game would be bad or even mediocre. - They are not.
As far as I can see, Aion does nearly everything right within it's own style. The environment is pretty low polygon, textures seeming pretty simple as well. The details on trees and foilage  are really nice and well done as well as character models. Draw distance seems not to live up to the priase I heard here and there, but still be very decent. Given the fact the game is advertising large scale battles, some compromise is inevitable anyway.
The overall design is extremely well done in a technical/craftsmanship way. The engine used should be able to combine the above with decent gameplay and performance.
I think Aion will have great graphics for everybody who likes the style. Everybody awaiting this game impatiently should know better than to fall for one or the other troll trying to belittle what indeed will become one of the biggest hits on the MMO market in 2009. If the title would bring anything really fresh and different in regards to gameplay to make up for my problems with it's style (as it does for all those with a strong focus on PvE), I'd indeed try it out myself.

I like the look and feel of a baroque enviroment. It just feels right for this game and setting.

Don't mind him...He is just using an OLD school computer. Everything looks like crap on it.

Here is an updated image of my character in the Abyss. I just took it yesterday. I don't see where people think that the graphics suck in AION.
