is leveling fast or is it like war where you get less levels and it takes forever to complete each one?

i'm really hoping it's quick leveling max level within a month of casual play and then the fun of world pvpve begins (or gets really interesting).

Its quick,  very easy to lvl up till you get to the abyss then it gets a little harder because you got to deal with the other faction and that tends to get in the way sometimes.

Tbh leveling sounds really similar to WoW's leveling in the beginning before TBC. It was pretty quick there aswell but once u got to stranglethorn vale it slowed down quite a bit because there was the other faction smacking u in the a** aswel :P. Hope it is tbh , i loved those days.

I did hear that you don't HAVE to go into the abyss if you don't want to.  Think I read on the faq that you can get to max lvl without pvp if dont want it.  I assume there are other areas other then the abyss where you can lvl.

It's better to go into the abyss because you get better xp and quest rewards, but by how much I dont know.

Leveling in Aion is on WoW's level, fast up to a certain point. Even then, they designed the current game for level 50s and the limit right now is 45. Think they're saving those five levels for a big patch sometime in 2009, hopefully right before EU/NA release. ;)

you can say Aion leveling = wow leveling... but plz save the comment on quick, fast, or rapido! because speed is a subjective matter from each one perspective... if u ask me.. WoW is slow.... and other grinders are stuck....

How many times, in the absence of "facts", is that word used to add weight to an argument? Scary!

thinking amazon's dates are anywhere near accurate=fail

Seriously, they give estimated release dates just to sell more stuff, they can easily be off by more than a year

Waiting for:
-Games-
Hellgate:London Re-Launch
The ZeniMax Online Studios MMORPG
Star Wars: The Old Republic
Hero's Journey
-A PvE centric MMORPG with-
Fast paced twitch-action combat where you manually aim your attacks instead of having to acquire a target first

A story-driven quest system with multiple ways to solve quests, and multiple possibilities upon completion

Correct! However - a 2009 EU/US release date is expected.

Let me give you a bit more of a detailed perspective on this particular issue. It is very accurate to say that the leveling is comparative to that of WoW. You do hit some levels where the leveling slows down a bit due to different things in game. For myself I had a huge slow down from lvl 24-25, due to that I had finished all the quests up to my lvl and all I could do was grind out the rest of the way to 25. Not too bad imo... I like a game that makes you work a little.

Once you do your series of 4 missions to gain access to the Abyss. That's when things get interesting. Leveling is faster in the Abyss as the mobs there on average give aprox 8-9k exp per kill and the quests themselves give a high amount of exp as well. However, with the number of "death squads" roaming around... it is best to group up and be safe if you're going to be up there in the pre 30s.

You don't have to go to the Abyss though if you do not want to. There are quests on the mainland that you can do as well. However, DO NOT think for one second that you will not have to engage in PvP just because you are on the mainland. Rifts open up constantly and there are always lvl 30s+ looking for LvL 20s meat for the grinder. Apposing faction encounters are far more common place on the mainland than you guys/gals would expect.

My experienced advice... group up as much as possible to be safe. If you are a solo player by nature... unlearn what you have come to accept as your comfort zone if you can... you'll enjoy the game a bit more if you do.

Oh believe me it is :) i can't understand a lick of Korean but just can't get off the Damn thing lol.

I know ppl will just blow my Comments off but the PvP in this game is far superior to any other i have played incliding WAR, PVE is Fun, yet it is also frustrating at the same time post lvl20 as you dont just have the Aggro from Mobs to worry about you have the Asmodians to worry about as well (or Elyos).

Plenty of Quest opportunity's, plenty of Eye candy plenty of just about everything you want in an MMO,

The Little Details are what get me such as your hair blowing in Whatever the Wind direction is Blowing as well as your necklaces e.t.c, your Char closing his Hands whilst Diving in Flight then just relaxing them whlist cruising around, Mob A.I there is just too much to list the game is just stunning.

I will have a PvP vid up i took last night on youtube shortly so long as the Quality is Good i will post a link.

You will not Regret trying this game.

Anyways Im starting to get more and more interstead in this game every time I hear more about it.

Hold on Snow Leopard, imma let you finish, but Windows had one of the best operating systems of all time.

If the Powerball lottery was like Lotro, nobody would win for 2 years, and then everyone in Nebraska would win on the same day.
And then Nebraska would get nerfed.-pinkwood lotro fourms
