Hello, Is this game true and authentic to Warhammer Fantasy Battle/Roleplay? __________________________ "...when it comes to pimping EVE I have little restraints." it does pretty well for the age of reckoning time period and fits it very well into a mmo setting. |

Originally posted by Beatnik59 No. The issue is in order to RvR the devs had to follow more in line with the miniatures game so you don't get that feeling of a full world. It does well as a skirmish game just doenn't make me feel like I am in the Warhammer world. Also, if you are in the Empire which is suppose to parrelel Germany or Prussia why do all the NPCs have english accents? |

Also, if you are in the Empire which is suppose to parrelel Germany or Prussia why do all the NPCs have english accents? The roleplaying game isn't made by Games Workshop..there for its not part of the source material that Mythic was pulling from. I wonder why people have never realized this. Its also the same reason they rarely pulled anything from the novels as well. They took the direct GW lore and like the novelists and even the Fantasy RPG company built their timeline from the Warhammer Universe...so its actually Very Very authentic. Authentic to the actual real IP and not the one that the RPG p&p guys made. The 'classes' are part of the Warhammer Universe, the cities are from the Warhammer Universe, all the lands are from the Warhammer Universe. (even if they got the accents wrong rofl thats probably down to what voice actors they used) Its likes D&D there's elements there that the DM's or game creators can use at their descrection. RPG's dont have 1 set way of doing anything regardless of the universe. Hell you could techincally run a D&D setting using the GURPS rule set if you wanted too and it wouldn't be un authentic sine its still part of the D&D universe its just a custom ruleset which was the whole idea in the first place that you could customize the rules to how ever you wanted to run the campaign...they just gave you a universe to run it all in.
