Wow has recently changed. They've gotten 11 million members, so there is no more customer support. They installed a patch, and everything is still broken. They totally nerfed Rogues, stole racial spells, added worthless spells, completely changed the ways pallys and hunters play. They removed healing bonus completely, now yer specced for dps whether you like it or not if you're a healer. They totally downgraded everyone's class to make room for "improvements" in the $40 expansion. So that's $20 for the orginal, $30 for the first expansion, and $0 for the newest expansion, plus $15 a month, FOR NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL, and encouragement to the gold farming and ganking griefers. I could get that for free in some game from Korea that encourages gold farmers and gankers. Lag is terrible, and makes some servers unplayable. They lost pets and mounts in the patch and haven't given them back. Peope have characters in transfer limbo for 2 weeks or more!!! There's no support at all on weekends, the in game ticket system is up to a 5 day wait, when your ticket just dissapears with no response, the phone system is a 30 min wait, IF you can get through at all. And they've decided that in game world wide pvp griefer events are fun and will have more of them, evn though they lag the server so bad you can't play. I was totally addicted for 3 years, and now the game has changed to the point where people like me can't play it anymore. |

Maybe the fact they have a new addition to the game a huge influx of new and old customers and content that was 90% ready for release. I am sure you had a huge issue like you deleted something and you want it back but guess what there are 11 million more people out there doing the same thing |

Originally posted by MBAngel Umm, now you can switch specs and your gear is useful. The healing bonus is still there. Old mechanics gone and new streamlined mechanics added. You just fail to see the positive in the new system, I heal just fine and dps just fine depending on talent spec.
The rest of your statements seem a bit over the top. |

It was never really a good game. It was just a simple kiddie cartoon version of a much deeper/better game.
WoW has never had a unique feature in its entire conception, not one. Every thing it did was from another game first. The only thing you can argue is that they polished up the features they took. Or you might say "every game steals from the game before it!" To which I say, just about every MMO ever released had a few special things that made it unique, new features, gimmicks, pulls. WoW didn't have any. Its just a parasite.
Now, the runaway success that it is, you begin to wonder what they do with those 100 some developers and about the thousand or so other people that work on the game. All those massive profits must go to a big money pool people sweep in, because it doesn't go to upgrading the game. 2 years since the last expansion, and whats the best they come up with? Raising the level cap. Again. Adding some gimmicky public quests it stole from Warhammer, and... oh hm, I guess thats it. |

I don't think that the game is as harsh as the OP is saying and I am no super fan of WoW either (although I have played for 4 years with breaks in between). I personally don't like the game mechanics and find it gets boring quickly. There are lots of things that piss me off too but I don't think the game has really changed that much since the expansion (or ever). For example, they play the 'make one class overpowered for a while and then nerf it and make another one overpowered (some more often than others)' game but this has been going on since the dawn of time. I have never thought it was a good game because of the game mechanics but they did do a lot of things right (not the game mechanics).
But to the comments from people that say 11 million people can't be wrong. Yes they can (just look at politics) because I don't care about their experience, only mine. If someone doesn't like a game and everyone else does that hardly matters to that one person. But, if you don't like something then quit complaining and find something else. And if there is nothing else then go outside and do something with yourself.

Sorry, but going to have to say you are wrong on all points. Here's my example of the last two weeks of game play: 1. I submitted a ticket becuase I disenchanted an item that I really wanted (my fault). GM contacts me and I explain everything that I said in the ticket. He tells me that my item should be in the mail withing a few minutes of contacting him. Total time for response: 1h hour, total time for resolution; 10 minutes. And this is with 11 million subscribers. 2. Spell Power: I can understand your complaint, as I don't feel that making all spell classes use the same exact system. Which in turn cause some players to need on items that should go to another class. Is it broken, not really. Mana regen is good for healers FYI.
3. I did transfer my druid from server to another - all within one hour. 'Nuff said.
Are you sure you are playing WoW? Because according to yoru post, you seem to be playing a different game entirely.

Originally posted by SignusM For a game that sucks so bad, hasn't done anything new and doesn't add enough content why don't these other supposed "deeper/better" games just steal all the subscribers away. The way you paint the picture it shouldn't be that hard. A better product should do be able to capture large amounts of players right? Care to share with us what these games are? I sure would love to see what you use as a basis for great game in comparison.
My guess is your mythical awesome game doesn't exists and all you can do is complain about Warcraft or somehow blame millions of people for not seeing the truths you want to believe, but hey feel free to shock me with a stunning review. |

OP has no idea what he/she is talking about. "The WoW forums are and have always been, the true heartbeat of the game. Having said that... RIP wow. You had a good run." - MAnalog 10/13/10 So WoW is dead? |

Trolls like food, mmmm. While I don't care for WoW myself, the OP provides almost no information as to what made the game "good" to begin with. Issues with customer service can be hit or miss based on any number of factors. Changes to game mechanics aren't done without consideration or explanation; I give Blizzard that much credit. I just found the game to be boring and the classes mechanics uninspiring to play, personally -- yet I still think WoW is a "good" game, just not for me. |

Everyone has bad experiences and no company is infallible, but you make this sound like the norm, which is a complete and utter lie. Just because you're among the 5% that have had a problem, doesn't mean the rest of us don't have a completely trouble-free gaming experience. |

Angel, this is a good thing for you. I played WoW for 3.5 years myself, and spent too much time in it. It was a LOT of fun, but I overindulged. So take a break; you can always go back if you want. |
