Hey all...

Recently I am very bored of Guild Wars and do not have money to waste until Darkfall comes out *crosses figures*

My game parameters are as follows:

-Free2Play

-No Grind

-Not Gear Based

-PvP Centered (does not matter if world, instanced, objective, etc.)

Sorry if these parameters have been asked for before and they are sort of specific but hey, I am open to most things if I am not put on a treadmill grind / own because of gear...

Thanks for your help

Savage 2 is pretty fun. LIttle bit of a learning curve.

You're going to have a pretty hard time finding an MMORPG that isn't gear oriented let alone F2P. You'll have better luck with an FPS or strategy type. Check out The Best Free FPS - Shooter - MMOFPS List, but you're still going to have to grind for titles or something.

P.S. RoM does require grinding and it is gear based.

Well Guild Wars is so far the only game like that (I think Fury may have tried the same thing but it flopped).  So your best bet is to wait for GW 2.

i got r10 and did the whole top 100 GvG thing in GW and yeah it was alright, but ever since factions GvG has not been the same, and HA has been fucked since the start, it just took a long time of infusing to realize it

So there are no real good PvP F2P MMOs w/o grinds hmm...bummer

I guess i will wait until DF / GW2...Gears of War 2 is keeping me entertained I just need something a little more deep...

Lets change it to this: Minimal Grind / Decent PvP / F2P...Go go go!

Shaiya is all that comes to mind. Might want to check it out.

Maybe 4Story too, it's PvP system is pretty decent but it (like Shaiya and pretty much every F2P) is a tad grindy.

I recommend Shaiya though, big player base and pretty nice nation vs. nation action.

Blech!

Sadly the game you want is dead.

Fury (Pre-Chosen) fit that bill.

ill stick with GoW2 for that ^^...

Onto Shaiya...I have been holding back on this game mainly due to the fact that the micro system seems a bit iffy...

I am not going to be buying items seeing as I will be playing the game for free...so let me ask you this...

Can I be successful at say a 20-30 RvR w/o item-whoring off the micro shop, or in a 1v1 will i get prawned by an item buyer b/c of just that...

I will face the grind if I can be viable without paying2play...your feedback is appreciated

I don't agree with the games listed here. I have read that Shaiya is a very heavy grind game, but you do get to pvp from level one. 4Story offers pretty good pvp in the ways of territorial/guild wars, but you do have to level up if you want to be viable. The quests give the majority of experience and after level 10 the quests you are given are repeatable which made it boring for me.

Edit Add: Here's a nice review from someone on the Shaiya forums and they mention the cash shop items don't imbalance the game: worth playing?

hmm I am not too impressed with Shaiya....just another L2 ripoff with RvR, and even though people say you do not need to buy items to be good, I do not totally believe that -.-

i will try exteel tho hehe seems fun(ny)

not in mood for another korean grindfest L2 ripoff (Shaiya)
