Well I felt we Vets need something to cheer ourselves up this Christmass, so short of doing anything that might have me in jail over the Christmass season I thought I'd dig out "That" clip again. So here is something for all Vets to sit back after a good meal, sip a brandy and have a chuckle once more, click. Do you have any SWG vids or pics that when feeling down you like to watch again in order to bring a smile to your face? If so post them so that we can all enjoy a merry Christmass together! BTW: We all know who's getting a lump of coal in his stocking for the third year running, don't we ;)

I hate that Julio Torres guy cause you go upto him hating the new changes and wanting to ask for pre cu back and planning to murder him. Then the next thing you know you're walking away from a convo with him agreeing that the NGE is the best thing ever and you'll buy 500 more copies and it's like...... WAIT A MIN! Turn round and he's gone. |

That guy was the "target audience" for the NGE, and even he had lost his rag by 2006! I always saw Julio Torres as something like the 13th warrior. He must of shagged George Lucas' niece or something and got banished as an emmisary to the most far away hell hole Lucas could think of. Sent to SOE on a mission that couldn't be won, Lucas was intent on crushing his soul as punishment then after a couple of years he was sent back to LA. Smed often used Torres as his mouth piece thinking it better that he have an LA pr man take the heat for his inflammitory statements than him or SOE. Of course it didn't work. I remember shortly after the NGE JT posted on the forums "We are not going to rollback so if you don't like it you should just leave and play something you do like!". Shortly after that subs must have taken a second nose dive as he apologized for his post two weeks later.

So the drunk guy in the video asks for devs to add xp to the quests already in the game and to "focus on the high end content".
Humm player asks devs and devs put both of those in game. Sounds like Julio is the man!

At this point, I'd be curious to see if anyone thinks that NGE has the same total population as it did a year ago. It is in its twilight and even the mmo chart has indicated over a period of years that the line is a downward slope. No typical holiday spurt is going to change that.

Here's an old interview to chuckle over, click . It's three years old and he was crazy horny for microtransaction back then. Though I have no idea what happened to those games he said would be released in a year, anyone?

Saying the NGE has 20K subs at this point is being overly generous to the level of insanity. Less than HALF that. AT MOST.

That's your "evidence"? It never ceases to amaze me the cavalier way people throw numbers around with absolutely no source and treat them as fact. So I started to walk into the water. I won't lie to you boys...I was terrified. But I pressed on, and as I made my way past the breakers, a strange calm came over me. Then what is your best guess for SWG's current population? I see you criticizing everybody else's numbers so provide your own. I won't hold my breath waiting... |

I'm not privy to any sub numbers, just like you're not. I, however, don't go around making wild claims about SWG's population. I have an educated guess, but that's about it. I repeat: They are encouraging HALF the servers to become COMPLETELY empty by offering FREE (a word that is anathema to SOE) transferrs OFF them. This is something they weren't offering last year or the year before that. So, then, isn't it logical to deduce that the game is doing FAR worse than it was then, and at the VERY minumum, has lost half it's subscribers at the very least, since basically half the servers are being abandoned? To claim that subscriber rates have stayed stable with that happening is impossible to justify. To claim that there are "moar subsribers than evah!" with that happening is just to expose yourself as a flat out liar.
