I am looking foward to Mortal Online. I just think the game will be more polished and will deliver what they say. Mortal Online will not have FPS combat because thats the worst style of combat to put in a MMO. Darkfall just looks crappy and the game is supposed to come out in a month yet I still have not seen anything from trusted sites like IGN and Gamespot. |

i feel that both games will be equally awesome. DF will be more pvp i think (crafting/economy/diplomacy will be better), while MO will be more tasty for pvers (muuuuch better graphics, items one of a kind on whole servers, named mobs that dont respawn) I will surely try both, but i put big emphasis on graphics in mmo, so to me MO has better chances to win my heart. Playing: Civilization 4 |

i believe mortal is just gonna be darkfall with better graphics now, darkfall is made by an independant developer. mostly comprised gamers who wants a good game (based on the original ultima) i believe. and i think mortal's dev team is mostly for people who help develop ultima, wanting to remake ultima...just better overall. |

And to me DF sounds in many ways like a copy of UO, but in this bussiness copys can do pretty well. At launch Wow was a copy of EQ. That doesn't prove anything either. Both games can go very well or fail misarably, at all depends how good they are at launch. |

I have my doubts if there's enough markets for both DF and MO, as FFA/loot PvP games I mean. If they both manage to launch in a playable condition, then me thinks either one has to change their focus to more softcore PvP. I still have my doubts about how well Unreal engine handless large PvP battles, like sieges. But same goes for DF engine of course. |

LOL, all the game sites suck for reviews but I am talking about previews. I would love to a see a preview or hear from one of them talking about there time spent playing the game or going to the company that makes Darkfall and then tell us how the game is progressing. |

that would be nice.

Funny, both of these games are just a copy of UO pre-Trammel. Silly to argue over which is better until they come out. Personally, I have very little confidence that Darkfall will be that successful. Aventurine has not be very forthcoming with game and beta details. They have refused to let any respected reviewer look at it. Pretty good evidence they have flaws to hide. How bad those flaws are, remain to be seen, but those hoping for a great game will most probably be very disappointed. |
