Well even when the game goes live, there will still be people talking smack about the game and people praising the game like its the greatest thing to happen since the invention of the wheel. 

There will always be flame wars going on, its just a fact of life.

Since Tasos said we'd all be getting the opportunity to play it before we buy it, I don't think your statement has merit.  Just because there are many of us that are extremely cautious about the game doesn't mean we don't want to play it.  If we play and praise it or hate it, what is the point?  No where on this website does it say that if you have a negative view on a game you are not allowed to discuss it.

I guarentee that DFO has a ridiculously high rating on this site when it gets released, and it won't be because it is awesome.

If darkfall is released and it plays well, I dont think anyone will care whats happening on these forums.

So yes, what some people do on these forums is against the rules. Posting something negative about Darkfall is fine, unless you're posting something negative in every thread all the time, or posting yet another insane conspiracy theory or piece of circular logic as to why Darkfall will fail. Hell, it'd be nice to get some vaguely sane negative commentary on Darkfall to balance out all the rampant fanboyism.

Not that it matters, because MMORPG.com is trash in general. They don't enforce their own rules on these forums anyway (unless, Blizzard forbid, somebody said something negative about WoW) so post what you like...

Untrue. Opinions and predictions don't require proof. Forming a negative opinion based on available information is just as valid as forming a positive one.

'Darkfall sucks' is an opinion, but you're not allowed to voice it because it isn't constructive or informative.

You need to give a reason, presumably a reason based on the truth (saying you think Darkfall sucks because Aventurine made the game in Torque isn't really a valid reason IMO, because it patently isn't true...).

We don't need new forums, we need moderation.   The amount of assinine things being posted as threads around here is simply amazing.

If you have PROOF to base the positive view ok, else it is propaganda that has even less value than a game attack because you are spreading LIES about a game and setting up false expectations.  That crap works both ways, Darth.
