Well since there was no answer for me to choose I didn't vote. While the graphics are good they aren't the best.  Also  some of the animations and character models are horrid.  

It would have been nice to have a middle ground type vote, things aren't that easy all things aren't  just black and white.  Atleast for me anyways.

The OP's poll is badly done.

Because IMO the graphics a mid, but that doesnt really mess up the gameplay feel for me, unless the characters just look too bad or something.

I do care for good animations though.

The animations were poor in the last trailer.

When you have a good pc and play darkfall on high settings it will look awesome, but on avarage machine it will still look good:).

^ that screenshot was taken under default settings. Not high. So if you're looking for eye candy, then go on high settings. If you want preformance go on default. Regardless, screen shots never do a game justice. Go check out the MMOitalias video - the enviroments look amazing, characters look decent, and character animation is bad

There are many things besides just the graphics that have generated negative feelings about this game.

poll sucks, and seriously, the screenshot isnt that bad, considering what the DF devs are promising us. WoW cant even handle 40 people raiding a capital, DF promises hundreds, and WoW graphics are pretty bad in quite a few places, and cartoony.

I think the graphics are ok but i am fine with that. It is not as cartoony as WoW but i would say the graphics are around that quality.

Everquest is my favorite game of all time by far.  For the most part they have crappy graphics, and before they updated they were atrocious.  But it doesn't matter if you are having fun.  You see enemys you see allies you see boats buildings.  If i can't recognize a sword or a projectile ill be worried.  If I can play Ill be having too much fun to care (assuming Darkfall is fun).

This isn't about whether or not a game can be good with terrible graphics, we aren't arguing that, this is about whether or not DF's graphics are good, which they are not.

says the frantic fanboy. I'll give you a tip -- if a games graphics were deisgned and built well, than the game will still look good at low settings..  this game doesn't look good on any settings.. Even the GUI graphics look like total shit.

 Better than WoW graphics, easily. And I love how stupid the first poll is. apparently graphics = how good the game is going to be. Using that logic, WoW should have imploded upon leaving the gate. 

Also, you don't seem to want to consider that this is 

A. an indie company

B. a twitch based game, where lag will result in a lot of heartache

C. Has to process massive 200 man battles

D. Has to process physics, collision detection, wind and arrow trajectories

Do you honestly believe the graphics should have been better? As it is now, they're still easily the third best on the market.

Some people can ignore reality signusM.  No matter how many great screenshots you show them, they will continue to say it has terrible graphics.
 

Can anyone ever actually be happy with the graphics in a game without it looking like real life? That's the feeling I get from people when they star threads like this.

The game devs have to make a game that can run on a multitude of hardware.

It looks fking great, and the funny thing is that I red a post about AoC the dx10 feature, the poster posted a screenshot and was pointing out how nice it looked.

Then the fps part came, this is just to fking funny.

The poster had a gtx280 1gig, an E8500 dual core ( 3.16Ghz per core, he had it overclocked too 3.75Ghz per core ) and 4 gigs of ram.

He got an amazing 50fps in the game, WOW that's amazing!

Even funnier, a quote from the poster.

This game is pretty much all CPU and RAM, so I'd say you'll see a larger ratio decrease, based on your specs above... Lets say it's easily capable of running Crysis in 1920 by 1200 at the highest settings possible.

despite what the fanbois say above, the graphics aren't "great" they are mediocre/passable including the animations, just looking @ the screenshots though (where you can't see animations) they are pretty good for an mmo, better than Lotro in my opinion (obviously better than WAR and WoW).

and why is this obviously troll thread being stretched so far out, a game doesn't have to have good graphics to be a good game, and bad graphics does not make a game bad.
