The OB client  for  Runes of Magic is  download  ready on the download site of gamershell.com

So if you don't want to wait till monday the 15 of

December ..I would say   you can do it now

Is it ok if i downloaded from gamershell on the 9th or something and im still able to play the open beta? (patch/updating or anything?)

I read somewhere that you will need a patch, but you shouldnt need to DL the whole client again.

hmm, well I downloard the client from the website, but keep getting an error from winrar. Saying either file is corrupted among other things. Anyone know of another way to get it? or help solve the problem i have.

Yeah.  I have the same problem.  I DLed it twice completely and got errors when opening/installing.  Some people put up torrents now, so you can search for those.

You guys should go to the RoM fourms and check the guide on how to download the cilent! It tells you your suppose to ''extract''.

Well did that and didnt work. So downloaded winzip and still getting errors.

you guys have like a anti-virus blocking it? or anything like firewalls?
did you check the specs? at the website?

Specs for the game have nothing to do with downloading the open beta. It d/ls but doesnt extract because of errors. And no, no anti-virus running

Most of the mirrors at Gamershell were downloading at a lightspeed of 50-112 kb/s.  the mirror for the "UK 500kb" site is giving me 350kb/s so not too bad.

Yeah I got errors too, that's why I am trying a torrent.  It seems to be a more stable downloading process.

If you getting low speed or just prefer torrents, try this instead: Torrent.

I was getting 250 kb/s+ from every link.  The only thing I didn't like was that I had do download 3 times before I got a full file that wasn't corrupt.

I downloaded mine from exp.de, installed, and got the update all with no errors. It took me around 12 hours, but hey I got it. The servers for RoM are said to not be up until 9pm PST tomorrow so make sure to get it now. The time is mentioned in THIS thread.

Downloaded the gamers.hell open beta client but it was in chinese/korean

I think the english client should have "en" somewhwere in the file title so it  might be the wrong one.

Yeah I was afraid of that when going to the .de site, but I took a chance and you can choose between German, English International, and English US. At least I think those were the choices.

Tried the .de link & it only downloads a small setup file which then asks to insert dsk1?

The torrent that someone posted earlier worked much better than gamershell for me. Gamershell = 100kb/s and with the torrent I got up around 750kb/s. Thanks whoever posted that.

My bad I linked the wrong one. I changed the link in my other post, but it's at exp.de It should be called runesofmagic_openbeta.zip and is 3.4gig. It's all the files in one. Just hit the green Download starten button.
