Mythic Entertainment has announced the launch of Game Update 1.1a for Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, which adds easier public quests for 1 to 3 players, the open RvR Influence System, and more.

New Careers

The valorous Knights of the Blazing Sun lead their allies into battle. These armor-clad warriors of Myrmidia combine strength and steel with a mastery of tactics and strategy, making them truly formidable adversaries on the battlefield.

Clad in forbidding black armor and wielding lethal halberds, the grim-visaged warriors of the Black Guard inspire dread in the enemies of the Dark Elves. These sworn protectors of the Witch King join the armies of Destruction, anchoring the lines of battle.

Open RvR Influence

One of the most recently requested items by our community has been incentives for open RvR, and now we’re proud to announce the first big step toward adding these incentives: Influence in open RvR areas!

By defeating enemy players in open RvR and helping to defend and capture Keeps and Battlefield Objectives, players can now earn Influence. Each Tier of each pairing has its own influence pool and rewards, for a total of 12 pools for each Realm. This Influence can be used at the newly-added Rally Masters in the appropriate Warcamps to earn gear and other RVR reward items, so get out there and gank the enemy!

Agreed.

I'm especailly looking forward to trying out the open RvR influence system. I have a lot of fun with open world RvR, Keep sieges and all that, but sometimes it's hard to find folks around to fight because they're all in scenarios. If this gets folks out of the scenario grind and out into the world itself, I'll be thrilled.

Woot!  Maybe now the no-lifebears will find some other game to complain about.

I don't understand your post. What part of the patch involes carebears?

I see your a Darkfall fan, that is cool but the devs at Mythic have really Listened to the player base in WAR.

How is it a public quest if it's made for one person?

probably a 14 year old that think playing darkfall is the cool thing to do and think it's hardcore

really tired of this juvenile attitude let people play what they want in peace .

good stuff for sure. its always nice to see that a game company is at least making an effort to listen to the community (unlike a company that we shall not mention. . . .(soe))

Great patch

Awesome patch!

Sounds like the Dev's have been hard at work. I quit the game after the first 2 months because it felt too choppy and incomplete. It sounds like Mythic is really listening to what the player base wants.

The scenarios were kinda boring after awhile but the RvR was REALLY fun. I might resubscribe, but I'd like to hear more about how well the patch has worked first.

come on back and join Pheonix throne on of the most populated servers if not the most. always things happened and lately crazy open rvr and scenario q's within a minute. BLACK GUARD is the best tank class in any mmorpg ever. period.
