Surprsingly ive seen threads here on a 1 or 2 of these arguments, the others on different political sites, I thought this blog points out how ridiculous (and funny) these arguments are, but then again thats all cracked.com is good at doing. Thoughts? |

I am reminded of what Pogo said, "We have met the enemy ... and it is us."
Republicans have more to fear from their own party than they do from Democrats.
Some Republicans like to get "angry" and voice themselves over cultural and social issues; on tax, economic, domestic, and foreign policy issues, even if you are a social and cultural conservative, that party will leave you broke and jobless. |

"Conservative forum-members would just like you to know that Barack Obama firmly believes the children are our future, and he just wants to teach them well and let them lead the way… directly to his herd-culling gas chambers. Yes, in a move directly parallel to Hitler’s infamous Nazi Youth Program, Obama wants to pass legislation that would require all children to enroll in his own personal army." Oh number three is funny, this forum certainly hasn't been immune to that fear. |

I agree the leftward shift of the Republican party has made them ALMOST as bad as the democrats, but Democrats openly favor that which is destroying the world, and Republicans at least only compromise with it. The problem with the last eight years was there were no republicans -- only greater and lesser democrats. |

Oh look, a Clintonesqe scandal appearing on the horizon. How democrat.
Can't say us conservatives didn't see it coming, or try and tell someone so. Oh look, just another power hungry liberal in office. What sux the most is that the conservatives said this long ago, and we were told to shut up. Well I wonder if Bush had this big a scandal? (oh wait...all you got is Iraq, a war that was legal by democrat votes.) I can hear the clicking now... |

How about that little document that his office recieved entitled "Bin Laden determined to strike in the United States?" (That's ok, I'll go on vacation to my ranch. 'Cause I'm a cowboy.) How about Haliburton overcharging the Defense Department (and taxpayers) by $61 million and participating in illegal kickbacks. How about New Orleans and the slow response to that disaster? (Once again, I'll just hang out at my ranch with my "daddy" and ride some horses around. Cause, you know, I'm a rancher.) How about soliciting information regarding WMD's in Iraq? How about stalling and repeatedly trying to disrupt the Kyoto meetings? Back then, Bush said that if we went along with the treaty, if would "hurt our economy." Really? Selling more cars to other countries would hurt our economy? (That's why the U.S. automakers are doing such great business right now! Maybe if we have adopted the policies of that treaty, we would actually be shipping MORE cars overseas to be sold.) But in your mind, Clinton is worse because he lied to Congress about getting a blowjob. |

Forcing banks to give home loans to broke handout grabbing minorities didn't help much either. Clinton sucks more than you know. Bush does too. Not sticking up for that POS either. New Orleans? haha Whocares? They had their chance. What about the other disasters around the country? Floods blizzards. You didn't see those people shooting at rescue helicopters or firemen. Or throwing poop at eachother in shelters, only the monkeys, er in zoos I mean...Oh yeah, they took care of themselves in a humanly civil manner. Keyword - human. If you are slow, yes, I calling New Orleanians subhuman. |

Originally posted by barkjj Oh I never said that Clinton was a great President, only that Bush is worse - much, much worse. And about New Orleans - While I agree with you on some of the people living there, it was Bush's reaction and unwillingness to leave his stupid ass ranch that most people will never forget. But the people are messed up there (some of them.) Anyone who shoots at a fireman or paramedic who is trying to rescue people should have his balls cut off. |

These two post are particular telling when you consider the NBC/WSJ poll released today. Obama approval..............67% Glad to see Bush go...79% : Bush one of Worst presidents ever...48% : Bush worst than most...78% Even I find the last number staggering. Bottom line, It's a very good thing that this country once again has a leader it and the world likes. This is a good day for America. I'm glad to once again have a person of substance in the White house
Edit: WOW my 500th post

Wow...So a disaster happens in new orleans, and it's not the job of the mayor, NOT EVEN THE JOB OF THE GOVERNOR, but surely it's the President's sworn oath to deal with every frickin' crisis that happens in every frickin' city, and if he doesn't he's a horrible president. Bush was a horrible president for many other things, but New Orleans? Seriously? Go take a Government class...Hell, just go get common sense. There's a reason we have Mayor's, and if REALLY need be, Governors. Put blame where blame is due, particularly that brainless Mayor, Ray "Chocolate City" Nagin. As for the link in the OP, that was so moronically liberally biased. That guy isn't funny...at all. And I can't speak as a republican(Since i'm not one), but the reasons why I would be "scared", is because Obama is another politician...Which means he's here to screw us over, and make himself rich. Oh, and also because of the fact this idolatry that has been going on over him. It's disgusting. "The greatest trick the devil played on humanity in the 20th century was convincing them that he didn't exist." (Paraphrasing) C.S. Lewis "If a mother can kill her own child, what is left before I kill you and you kill me?" -Mother Teresa when talking about abortion after accepting the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979 |

I was going to answer you, then I realized you didn't even answer me above, you just deflected to BUSH bashing...is that all you got? Clintonesque...it's a perfect word for this Obama scandal. And BUSH was nowhere NEAR this level of shame even after all you listed (and I use the term loosely)
edit more stuff.. And for a guy with the name Rhambo, don't you think he's being a little too quiet? it's defening. |

If so, that's a good thing. It seems he carefully cultivated relationships with some very bad and nasty leftists (ayers, wright, etc) to prove his street cred and to fool the left within his party. The whole thing seems to have been a charade to get into power -- much like Clinton. At least I hope that's the case. |

But once again it gives rise to my question: are there any liberals on this forum who know how decent people argue? "Appeal to ridicule" is one of the basic, textbook fallacies. |

First line is right on. The left loves to maunufature stuff and then believe it as reality. I don't believe for a second that Obama is going to govern from the center. You know when a leftest runs out of ideas...it is when they pull out the racist card. |
