I have been debating about coming back to EVE Online. I played for a few months, and I mostly mined/missioned. I got to a mining barge and a battlecruiser in L 3 missions. I enjoyed the game, but I became bored of it for some reason. I picked up EQ and dual boxed that for a month just for some old memories. I have been playing WotLK, but I am looking for something more challenging. Even with the achievement system in WoW, it doesn't scratch the itch for a more challenging gameplay. I really enjoyed the risk vs reward in EVE Online.

I want to come back to Eve and get into some production/trade. I don't really care if I am not making tons of isk, I just want to do something new. I was looking into producing T2 ammo in highsec and then running it into low sec. Is this a good idea? I don't really know much about production though. What exactly do I need to do to set this up? I guess I am just looking for some basic advice on production as it seems I have already decided to return to EVE. Thanks in advance guys!

Referring back to the OP, here is another suggestion that may or may not be practical.

Once you have established yourself as a T2 producer you may want to consider contacting lowsec corps and/or alliances and see if they could offer you some of the services you need in return for good prices on ammo and goods.

If you contact a CEO that is not able to help or is not interested, try to get the name of someone else who might be

I'm not really familiar with manufacturing, especially T2 manufacturing, but I have the feeling that getting your foot in the door might be the biggest hurdle.

Well this is disapointing, came back and some a lot of replies, but half of them are just troll posts from LordZon. Thanks for all the help from the others though. I think im gonna pay for a month and just mess around and see if anything grabs my attention.

Also, don't understimate your ability, even with low SP, to PvP.  The low-sec PvP corp I belong to recruits members who have only just created their characters.  We have people who created their characters this month (only the 10th right now) and have already gotten on kill mails.

To me, PvP is where EVE shines brightest!

seriously, join Eve University, even if it's only for a month.  not only will you get detailed training/classes; but, you'll probably get great leads on corporations to join, which will include exactly what you're looking for.  or you might end up staying at eve uni.

could we please get correspondent writers and moderators, on the eve forum at mmorpg.com, who are well-versed on eve-online and aren't just passersby pushing buttons? pretty please?
