Quite frankly, I'd resub to Age of Conan before I'd ever resubscribe to this game. I just has some serious issues

The game revolves around PvP/RvR, yet it's the same garbage as WoW pvp, only with greater population imbalances. The minute I realized how anti-competitive, mindless, unbalanced, and non-rewarding it truly was, from owning open battlefield objectives to winning scenarios, I stepped away... And because there will be no drastic revamping in the forseeable future, I will not go back.

Undecided - For some reason the game just didn't make it for me. Got maybe 4 evenings worth of fun from the free month included with purchase, so I might wait until they have some got of vet trial of couple of weeks before I check the game again.

No, I will not re subscribe to the game in it's current state, or even after 1.1. However I am following Mythic's attempts to fix the game and may re subscribe should they manage to fix the issues before the plug is pulled on the whole project.

Given I posted on the last thread on this topic I'm only posting since this forum seems filled with anti-WAR trolls :) Oh and I'm a work with nothing better to do.

I think the two new classes are great, but more importantly the next patch promises some really serious improvements to oRvR rewards. There is obvious alot of work going on to make the game better, and I think that is the best advert to resub. MMOs in particular are games that evolve to be better and better. DAoC, WoW, and LoTR all got /get better and better as time (and investment) went/is going on (and I like Trial of Atlantis by the way).

Of course if a large number don't re-sub, or start playing, then it would be hard for a commerical company to carry on. Which is why we should always be fair and positive about the games we play (or don't), otherwise studio won't make the games we want to play, and we'll all have to go back to MS hearts again :(

The 1.1 Patch is part of the Problem with this game. Well ok, its only a problem if your a Tank or a Healing Class or a class dependant on those classes. IF you meet that requirement then ya 1.1 is the problem

Yes.. But if performance (massive lag, stuttering, out of sync animations, CTD etc.) doesn't improve with 1.1 I'm not the next month.

I was enjoying the game just fine but 1.06 was a disaster performance wise (you can check the forums, I'm not the only 1).

Never say never - but considering Im in EU and GOA is running WAR... Never....

WAR has issues.  The biggest one beeing that its PVP only oriented game.  It fails as such and always will.  It will never be able to create stable gameplay for the massive numbers of players that are looking for new MMOS.  Last disaster of a patch kinda proofs that.

Secondly....

If I want to pvp I play FPS on equal grounds (Equal ping)

If I want to play massive PVP I play battlefield (again equal ping)

If I want to play a hero or a bad guy with sword and shield... I go out and grab a stick and pretent Im 12 years old again. 

The general idea of creating Massive PVP games is failing big time.  AOC and WAR are best proof of it.  But if these games want to have about 10k ppl playing them on 2 servers then they are doing great.  But... "the fastest selling MMOS of all time" were not created for that.... Or were they ?

I'll be a long time subscriber, having a blast since lvl 1 and not "grinding" a moment of it.

Best MMO i've played since Ultima Online. Uninstalled LOTRO and will never go back to a PVE based MMO. 

I have no idea why people are complaining, i'm having no issues at all.  You either like PVP or you don't.  I will always prefer a game with PVP.

I'm in this game for the long haul. 

 Im going to resub because im burnt out of WoW and when i capped in AoC all fun ended for me. nothing else  got me hooked and im liking WAR so far. but im really waiting for darkfall.

No. I'd be more willing to give Darkfall coming out on January 22 a brand new shot before giving Mythic another chance. They don't even have those four classes implemented yet among other things. I think they've had plenty of time to fix things. You can fix bugs, but you cannot inject 'fun' in a game if its not there. Waiting around for the battle to commence is not the ideal of fun for me. It's a fair game but definitely NOT sliced bread.

assuming you give DF that shot, and assuming it does come out 1/22/09 (or ever for that matter), I would be very interested to see some feedback on how your 1st month goes.  thanks in advance.
 

I think I deserve another free month for beta testing a Live game. I won't resub until then.

If it comes out I sure will. I liked Warhammer for a little over a month but meh.. Darkfall I never thought I'd see anything on cause of all the 'vaporware' posts. I didnt even read up much on it before.  But given their 'official' release for January and all the buzz out now,  I might give it a try. It does SOUND good, free open world, kinda what WAR was spose to be.

Honestly now, I'm looking forward to Aion. That seems to have the most promise.

The ridiculously massive nerf to BW's was the last straw for me. Games that start swinging the nerf bat always go downhill from there.

Why would I want to try a class that is an exact replica of another races class?

They use the excuse it's easier to balance that way, but we all know that is shit answer.

doubt ill resub war ever.. unless the game improves a lot..

 i will. its keeping my attention well and no other games interest me

I've resubbed as I'm still enjoying it. The game has some big issues mind.

 WAR's RvR is pure failure. I Love Mythic and played DAOC for years because of RvR.

Terrible RvR means no playing WAR.

They should have gone with DAOC 2, simple as that.
