Do you have any idea how far away the taste of apples is from the taste of oranges? Apart from the fact that they both are round, they are nowhere *near* similar.

Originally posted by Gnazon this argument is mentally retarded and should just end cuz it has nothing to do with anything. the client has steadily gotten better for me so idk what pos computer or internet some of you have but its not always the developers fault for the game crashing etc. |

I totally agree with you. Mythic can patch this game all they like but they would have to completely redesign it to turn it into a good game.
I agree I haven't seen anythign addressing the core problems. This is not even an RvR game. Just some throw meat on the table and hope there is a brawl type game. Gets old fast. And still does that rather poorly because of the poor design such as the way the tiers and lakes are setup |

Warhammer has solid foundations and now that its population has stabilized, it will slowly grow larger and better. It deserves so, because Mythic has done a great job in patching the game. I'd suggest trying out WAR after 1.1 goes live since various issues that annoyed a lot of gamers have been fixed like UI responsiveness and additional content is being steadily added (new classes and RvR influence rewards).
Mythic means bussiness and mmorpg competition is a marathon not a sprint race. If you want to talk doom and glood please do so after 6 months have passed since release. Till then, keep in mind that after 1.06, server activity increased greatly, even had a couple of full servers!

I too find the game very enjoyable and am very happy with the responsiveness from the dev team. The game is shaping up nicely and I will continue to play for a long time. MMO launches are always a little messy and I know... I've played all these at launch - EQ,DAOC,Horizons,WOW,L2,DnL,Mourning (yes mourning), and now WAR. As far as MMO's go, I think it is the best MMO out there for me.

I am a huge warhammer fan but the version of the warhammer world EA made makes me sick. I have never in a game seen such dull environments and gameplay. i wanted this game to be great but its horrible, to put it bluntly.
Did you follow WAR before mythic took over? Now that would have been a good game. |

Originally posted by Grayh It's ok for people not to like WAR. Game's not for everyone and with titles like darkfall promising the impossible people's expectations are unrealistic imo.
What is really annoying however is bashing WAR so hard while everyone was oh SO MUCH more forgiving when AoC hit the shelves back when it was buggy as hell and at a much worse state than WAR ever was.
War is shaping up nicely, thats for sure. |

I have to admit, I didnt follow war back then and so my knowledge is limited, but it seemed more like another EQ pve grinding/raiding clone where you could play.... halfings! The race with the least impact in Warhammer universe with a wooping 1 unit in special army book. Good game? I doubt it... but even if it was good, WoW would have pulverized it anyway, so its best that Mythic took over. |
