Technically this is a launch delay announcement even though its only by a month it still shows you cant totally trust anything Aventurine says, even their “official company commitments”

Surprisingly I’ve not even got the slightest modicum of excitement even after all these years of waiting, just apathy, but that’s to be expected after so much BS.

Personally I would not put it past them delaying again.

But if they don’t it seems we will finally get to see at last what the game is actually like by or before the end of January.

Well that is good news. Thankyou for sharing, as I do not check the official darkfall website. At the moment I am very eager to find a strong RPG, single player or online. Was thinking about re-subbing to conan, trying out NWN 2 or getting sacred 2. I probably will still get one of these games, but I am looking very forward to Darkfall now. Heck if it even gets a few really postive (official) reviews, I'll buy the game right away! :)

Congratulations on the Darkfall team. I would say congrats for going "gold" but I don't know if that's the case yet. Anyway, hopefully they will have a great release with as few problems as can be expected for an online game, and sell a lot of boxes.

Will there be boxes? Will this be download only? I just didn't see that info anywhere. Since there's going to be a EU release only on Jan 22, with a NA release later, I suppose no boxes for North America?

seriously man, give it a rest. seeing as you've been wrong in almost every one of your predictions, getting 1 thing right - that they slipped their projected release date back a month - is hardly anything to crow about.

for now, be happy, post-release i'm sure there'll be at least a few bugs or things that go wrong that you can complain about.

Think for a moment, they still need to announce the open beta, it can become a 2 months lemght open beta, woot.

Since most of his predictions were about the state of DF I can't see how he's been proved wrong about anything. DF fanboys have lost the plot totally. Whereas fans of other games gloat about its quality, DF fans gloat that the game might actually exist.

Polar  and even if  you count it as "launch delay announcement"  you can't tie it to that

Cause it could be AVE or GNi the ones to blame for the 22 days...

lol, go through post history. it's quite the read.

No reasonable person of 25+ has had any doubt the game was real since at least the 17min gameplay video, though most probably knew there was always a game there, it was just being developed slowly, as any reasonable person would suspect, given a small indie developer.

I'll bet e-cookie that open beta will start no earlier than Jan 5th, first monday of 2009. So sayeth my crystal ball.

Well there's the official release date, so thats every criteria set by the trolls.

All thats left is actual launch and to see how stable it is.

Was fun though lol, as Polar said once, sucks to be proven right. Of course when Polar said it he/she was wrong lol and I realy don't think it sucks to be proven right so a bit different lol.

You trolls are losing the last few legs you had to stand on now, you know. Maybe it would be a good time to start pounding on the quality of the game instead of its actual existence now. That way you can look even more obtuse and obdurate when the time to play it comes.
