I know that I myself have had some concerns over potential botting issues, and so have many other Aion fans.  Recently, an article came up on Aionsource about excessive botters on AIon.   Well here is another one on the "source" about the botting issue, this time posted by one of Aion's western representives "AZNKenshin"

Looks like bots won't be the problem I was worried they would become.

HAPPY DAYS!

It's almost 2010, and I am just not wiling to tolerate clunky graphics while being told that "gameplay is more important than graphics". That excuse won't wash with me any more. I expect my games to have both good graphics and good gameplay.

Well that should shut some people up.  I think that qualifies as "Doing as much as is humanly possible."  Report button, monitoring, IP bans, legal action, etc.

This has always been my only concern with AION. Its good to see them taking serious action from the start.

Just to clarify, AznKenshin is a moderator on the fansite Aionsource and not an official NCsoft representative.

The message is still accurate, however! :)

I'm really looking forward to Aion but forgive my cynicism here.

It's all just words, only time will tell how NCSoft handles to botting problem this time around.  They recently added that bot reporting button to Lineage 2 as well and nothing seems to of changed.  I bet for good measure the bots have scripted in to report every player they see just to skew the results.
