What is the best pvp mmorpg on the market today? A friend asked me this question and the only thing I could do was point to eve online. Anyway what do you guys think? Poll INC!!!!
Why would I play a pathetic themepark MMO when I could enjoy a masterpiece like Mass Effect, Oblivion, Fallout 3 and Dragon Age? |

DAoC and it will always seem to be that. They should have just reskind DAoC and dubbed it as warhammer they would have done so much better.

I vote Counterstrike, although I would love to experience EvE PvP as it is so far removed from conventional MMO PvP (i.e a bunch of people running around with swords ganking one another over and over again). Unfortunately the steep learning curve and dedication required to get to that level seems a bit daunting. I will most likely pick it up again when Ambulation is released as it looks great.

I haven't played all of the ones on the list. In my opinion it would be DAoC for fantasy type pvp, and planetside for futuristic type pvp. Want a 21 day free trial for Eve online? PM me. |

EVE, because the whole thing is PvP -- whether you are involved in combat or manufacturing or trade or diplomacy or what have you, the entire thing is PvP. ---------------------------------------- |

Yeah sorry guys, I would of loved to put more games on the poll but its limited to 10 selections.
To the person thats wondering why CS is on the list. most PVEers like to tell pvpers to go play CS if they want to pvp since they feel mmos are more suited to the Pve crowd.
