Hey i used to play Anarchy Online a while back, and i've seen a bunch of posts saying its really good and has a steep learning curve but once you learn its really good. I was wondering if you think i should download it and play it again. ill put a poll in too, but they dont bump the thread so write what you think about the game too

I tried to play when it first started but it was a mess back then and I gave up pretty quickly. Since you can play for free, why don't you just download it and give it a go and see if you still like it? |

It"s the onley sci-fi game out there that is any good(except eve) give it a try you can get to level 150 or 200, not sure about that, with a free account and then decide if you like the game or not. In my opinnion it is worth a try. __________________________________ Remember the good old days when devs made games just for the sake of making a great game? You have to have a pay account to post on the forums or search. So he would be stupid to pay for a account there just to ask if he should play. And I have played anarchy on and off and i am playing it right now. Its a great game very good community because it has a curve it runs the little kids off. Froob is ok to get to see some of the game(froob=free). But your gonna want to get shadowlands to see hwo pretty the game can get. Worth the download trust me.

ive been playing since 2005 i played 24/7 i love it so much there loads to explore got my mp to 157 only stoped playing about a year ago to my friends stoped playing . so joined the dark side went on to wow with little bit of eve and gws and lotr to keep me busy

Tried it right after release (2001?) and didn't like it one bit. Came back with my bored (back then) SWG guild in 2003, played a lot in Shadowlands and RK alike and I had a BLAST. In fact, I would even say it was the best MMO experience I *ever* had. Unfortunately the people I used to play with mostly quit playing games all along, so at some point I stopped with AO. Now I am back as a Froob, and I still love the game. |

I'm curious, is it just a grind fest - or is there a decent pvp system and somewhat fun leveling? |

The pvp is good but for the lvling, yes it is grind. In anycase the game is fun a bit old but fun and the sci-fi theme is refreshing if your are tired of orcs and elves. But this is a sandbox so this has nothing to do with the game like WOW,LOTRO or such.
I wish they create more SCI-FI game like that in the future. |
