once i hit 60 and started grinding around goddard my drive to play is gone. Seeing and hearing people say that almost everybody bots (90%). And also seeing everyone bot really sucks. Everybody bots, everybody buys adena, the olympiad is controlled by guilds, castle ownership is controlled. I noticed in my time back, that this game has the most corrupt community i've ever played with. |

Yes, curruption is total. 100%. Do what I did and start cheating. It's actually really fun to run a small party on bot. And while they level you can look at market stuff on L2wh. Even the NC GM's run bot trains. The only people that don't bot, are people that are about to quit anyway. And nobody cares about making them happy.

Politics of this game are very close to RL ones, what would you expect? |

Welcome to the world of L2. Cheat, or get cheated.

It's really sad because L2 is such a good game. Now I see why a lot of people who want to play the game fairly play on private servers. "I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me." |

You may be able to find "newer" clans that do lower level RB's and stuff for help with clan skills. I enjoy doing this stuff with my alts. Another suggestion would be to roll a dwarf or something new and play whichever toon has the most vitality. Just a couple suggestions if you're getting tired of the game. |

It is a bit disturbing that NC soft doesn't do anything. I hope the same thing won't happen to Aion. To the OP: Take a break, get another game. Sometimes you burn out temporary, sometimes it is for good but never play a game unless you are having fun at least most of the time. |

you misread my post, its not that im getting bored of the game. It's just knowing that cheaters will always be ahead in this game, and if you level legitly you will never catch up, unless you've been playing for 3 years straight. |

You are were I was 2 years ago. I opted out. Now I just play L2 on and off for fun when the mood suits me. No other game can give you what L2 does in terms of community and politics but the trade off is just to much cheating and BS. I've never run across an MMO that just makes you want to be part of the world like L2 does.

yup, I quit partially this , when Captain Kaos became perma red from killing bots , I just said "screw this crap" THe community is not very nice either, yeah it is a pvp game but for the most part, only arrogant rich people play it now |

yeah and what gets me is that there is no reason to bot now. Since now there is the vitality system and it doesnt take nearly as long to level as it used to. |

I felt a bit like this too.. but then I see this: www.pirateninjas.net/lineage2/gracia-final-november-26th-live-korea/#more-226 or to download: vodfile.ncsoft.co.kr/ncvod/lineage2/2008/ct2_final_playmovie_download.zip
Seems a lot of additions coming in Gracia Final |

Funny pic. I just recently came back to the game after a couple years. Good thing for me is I enjoy just going out and grinding at my own pace, so I'm not in a hurry to reach high levels. I have 2 mains, 2 dwarfs, and 1 raid toon (49 deleveled to 43). I try to do most things for my self and use the vitality system and only play toons that have full vitality. Luckily, I have found a legit clan, well at least the leaders are. Some members have probably bought some adena. The thing is though, the leaders are rich and well equipped, but they have been active players 3+ years and they have 3+ accounts. LOL We'll see if I can pull this off without buying adena. I know its possible, it just takes a lot of time and more effort. Last time I played, I bought, and I can say that I am having more fun this time around, even though I dont even have a toon to A grade yet. |

I played lineage 2 for about 4 months after launch. I made it to 40 exactly made a phantom ranger then quit hehe. Seriously it was a very pretty game but it had no community whatsoever and was the biggest grind I have ever seen in my entire gaming life. I cant think of anything that comes even remotely close to dethroning Lineage 2 for sitting on your butt all day grinding.
That being said it had potential, but considering the bots are still there 3-4 years since I played tells me there not any time leaving and Lineage isnt going to get rid of them, I guess because they are making money off there subscription fees as well.
I said this before and I say it again, the people who play lineage 2, especially those 60 and above are in a class to themselves in terms of hardcore grinders. I couldnt do it, but hats off to them |

Well, I don't know if it was the lvl grind that got to a lot of legit players, but the gear grind that really broke their spirits. I played L2 since prelude to around the end of C5, and I made it to 70, but I was still in B grade gear, and I was lucky to be in B grade at all, because my friend decided to set up an afk shop with a helmet saying it was an unsealed dark crystal helm while he was asleep, not thinking it would work, but low and behold, someone bought it and he gave me half of the money. Given the situation and as desperate as I was at the time, I didn't feel guilty taking it. I just convinced myself that the dude who fell for it was an ebayer. This isn't anything but speculation on my part, but that's what the game did to me. Even though I refused to buy adena for rl cash, I still sought out unconventional means (by a legit players standpoint) to get ahead (well, technically my friend did, but I guess I could be considered just as guilty). Maybe this was a sort of Robin Hood mentality that made me ok with the act in the end, but upon retrospect, maybe that guy earned his 75 mill legit, maybe by taking risks and overenchanting dark screamers all day or something. Sigh, I don't really know where I was going with this... |
