I think after the TR shutdown there now shouldn't rest in the mind of ANYONE ANY doubt that the NGE dies the moment SWTOR launches.

How does the shutdown of TR say anything about what will happen to SWG?  They're operated by two different companies...

TR has more subs than the NGE has, about 30K.  Yet they are killing it.

Let that one sink in.

The ONLY reason the NGE wasn't killed well over a year ago is the LEC/Bioware sequel, LEC is keeping it alive only till the new game comes out.

Anyone who has ANY illusion of the NGE living past the release of SWTOR is delusional.

When did you become the all knowing?  Did SOE release sub numbers to you?

Let's be honest, you'll use any excuse to try backup your claims that "SWG is shutting down!"  You've been doing this for three years now.  You're the boy who cried wolf.  Over and over again.

Now thats a bit rich , The pot calling the kettle black comming from SOE_Obraik :)

cheers

Feel free to elaborate on how this is a "pot calling the kettle black" situation...

"When did you become the all knowing?"
SOE_Obraik quotes as the very same "all knowing" .

Firstly, I think it's rather cute that you added the SOE in front of my name.  Very original there ;)  All knowing?  No, I don't post numbers that I made up and call them facts.

"Let's be honest, you'll use any excuse to try backup your claims that "SWG is......"
SOE_Obraik does this to the point of being a joke/fanboi and is hardly worth a read .

Do I really?  I'm heart broken that you don't read my posts anymore...

"You've been doing this for three years now."
SOE_Obraik has been doing the same , not only here but on many other sites .

I post about a game I enjoy and still play.  I don't waste my time posting on forums about games that I no longer play.

"You're the boy who cried wolf. Over and over again."
SOE_Obraik is no different , just taking the oppsite view .

This makes no sense.  Please explain.

It sounds very "Pot calling the kettle black" to me .

cheers

Of cause you cant see it , Your SOE_Obraik :)

cheers

PS I'm sorry if I upset you i did not intend to , I do read some of your posts its just I take anything you say with a very large grain of salt .

I wonder how much swg credits are going for these days on ebay?  Might be worth it if people are retarded enough to pay that much a stupid hologram.

I tried Hoth on my vet trial and it was extremely buggy and full  of lag... I played for about 2 weeks and never logged back in.. only thing that I only find fun on there now is Testcenter, at least there is no BS grinds there, and I can craft and test out different armor setups and PVP with the pathetic hybrid noobs on there. Other than that it gets old real quick.. Logged back in and read thru my mail my old guild on Bloodfin packed up and left for other games...another guild with some friends I knew in it packed up and went to EVE after a few months ago suggested it to them now they are having a more enteraining and fun time there than they have in the NGE version of the game.. they told me pretty much their final straw was ... the TCG... cant say I blame them for leaving since it is the beginninng of the RMT model for the future or whats left of its future in SWG.

For the number of times that SOE has destroyed the game I loved, even after it was very clear it was not what the majority wanted, I feel that they should start making donations to us- Paradox (SWG)

The games are very different, if anything TOR will draw from WOW/AOC/LoTR crowd. Nothing that has been released yet about TOR excites anyone I game with in SWG.

SWG will stay open and have continued development as long as it is profitable for SOE/LEC. And you have zero idea about how many subs SWG has, you can only guess.

WOW/AOC/LoTR is the crowd, no ones going after the miniscule amount of people that play NGE, no one cares. Wow alone has the crowd of the world series, superbowl and world cup combined. You NGE people are just the crowd of parents at a little league game.

Loving the official forums right now, tons of lag/freeze complaints related to Hoth, JTL seems to be hit the hardest.

List of SOE lies
What do Treyarch, EA and SOE all have in common? A habit of ignoring customer feedback and suggestions and their inability to properly beta test their products, resulting in crappy products.

Hoth is really just a buggy mess, atm.  I was back in it again yesterday although it was "fixed" more than it was the 1st time I went in it.  Still so much lag that you get frame by frame at many points, heals don't work (imagine that), and the reb speeders turn like a flying brick.  After the Hoth battle closes, at least the "valley" is almost playable.

This patch has more buggs than any single patch I've seen, outside maybe of the NGE, itself.  This was nowhere near a level of polish to be released live, but the $OE way is to release it and try to fix it on the fly.  Another "fix" coming today, in all probability, the 2nd of many more.  If the auto makers, or any other industry for that matter, released a product like this, you would see massive re-calls and "lemon-laws" taking effect.  When will $OE realise that SWG is a product and quality standards do mean something to the "buying" public?

Obraik, the "numbers" we do know about is SWG had aprox. 100K subs at the release of C6CD, released by Smedley.  Does it even feel anywhere near that today?  Does it feel like even 1/2 of that today?  Does it feel like 1/3 or less like that today?  The latter is probably my best guess.  As for SWG shutting down, I doubt seriously that SWG will have any problems, with shutdown, prior to the release of TOR.  After that, with the comments from LA and SOE, it very well may be a different story.

People here are commenting on sound business practices.  If a product has such low sales, it's probably going to be pulled.  However, this is $OE we're talking about here.  If sound business practices were in $OE's past, CU, NGE, and C6CD would not have worked out the way they did.  So, really, it's anybodys guess at this point.
