The more the merrier!! I haven't been as excited for the slew of Next-Gen MMO's since... err... last gen. Hopefully this time I won't be as dissapointed. Welcome to the sandbox generation! |

I will never play an mmorpg with Microtransactions |
these are the types of game the genre needs and not another wow/lotro/war..i hope its a huge success. the lore is bloody awesome. finally devs who understand what real mmorpg players want, fuck mainstream mmo's and their fans. |

This game surely will rock. Looking on every feature and implementation devs just look like they know what they are doing. And the lore, once again ill feel like reading a fiction classic while playing a PC game.. |

I've seen a lot of games that were going to rock. But many...and I mean many of them fail to really come through as a fun, compelling, and interesting game over the long term.
But, this one has a interesting twist too it, here is to the next hopeful :) |

Next to no information on this game AT ALL, tons of lofty promises, and already disturbingly lame words such as "only player skill" in a strained attempt to grab the attention of skill whores in the description, and people are already blindly praising the game and claiming it will be the best thing ever. Has the cult of darkfall become polytheistic now? |

Originally posted by Kordesh Thats a little cynical and harsh .I suppose there have been many disappoints lately so it's understandable However as someone who has been on the official MO forums for about 5 months I will tell you something that is a fact about the game and refreshingly different,...the Devs play an active role on the forums .They ask for polls and comment and read posts and opinion. On the MO forums you feel like they do care about the community and it's needs .Already a brilliant start for a new MMO :) "after the time of dice came the day of mice " |

and you wonder why people think mmorpg.com is full of vapor trolls, crankshaw... this guy is apparently one of the "elite members" here. what crankshaw says is right.. the devs are extremely active on the forums, moreso than devs for any other game i've seen. this game is definitely very promising and it's funny that people who know nothing about are the quickest to flame it. i don't quite understand why people are so eager to bash a game that wants to get a new and unique game out in the market. i mean... do you enjoy playing 2nd rate WoW clones?

zing ~~ Darkfall Recap of everything that has happened the last 3 months: http://www.mmorpg.com/discussion2.cfm/thread/213296 "The monsters are tough. I was looking for a challenge, but these things are just too damn smart." -DF Beta Tester "If people were dismissing it, then they wouldn't be talking about it. The well-meaning gamers root for efforts that try to raise the bar. So who's left? It's so easy being a skeptic." -Tasos |

I would praise any mmo at this stage that looks to break the mould of cookie cutter, linear theme park mmo's. Its time for change, give the choice back to the player. |
