As for LOTRO and the 30 days free.  I bought the digital upgrade and did not get 30 days free, buy after reading the support forums, if I understand things right, I was wrong and anyone who buys the retail box gets 30 days free, if he starts a new account or upgrades.

But this is not a usual thing and its the first time I have seen a MMO do it, wish I had seen it sooner, I would love to have a Dvd copy of the game.

Lotro doesn't but they CAN'T suck every dollar  from their customers.  If they could they would though.

Hey WOW has 11 million subs that enjoy the game they play. I hear the next Xpac will be just as fun.

LOTRO is a nice game ...not sure why you have to bag on another game though ............ Just lumps you in wth the same wow trash kiddies that spam and hate on everyone elses game.

Not bashing the game I am bashing the company as considering all the money they have made since the last Xpac they obviously have done so little to add to WOW.

There are other companys that make alot less a month yet provide the same amount of free content as Blizzard has in the new XPac.

You can classify me however you like but it does not change the fact that in 4+ years they have only added 1 new class and alot of reskinned content. Maybe you have lower standards or just dont see a problem with Blizzard giving its subs so little for so much money.

I personally feel very disapointed with this new Xpac as it shows that they put very little effort into it compared to other games Xpacs. You should demand more from Blizzard as I feel they are just cashing in on their name.

Just my opinions though I am interested to hear yours and if you feel this Xpac was enough for the amount of money Blizzard makes.

I agree whit you, and to make a point, look at EVE, way less subs then wow, yet always increasing numbers ( and they actually let you know how many players they have, neway, they lauch xpacs twice a year, TWICE, and THEY ARE FREE, why cant blizzard do this, oh greed, theres no way around it, CCP's EVE make less way less money and they give em FREE.

Then theres LOTRO wich gives huge updates for free as well, and there are others that goes on the same thrend, so in short, YOU the WOW PLAYERBASE, should, demand more from your game devolper.

Uhm sorry but. That is the COMPLETE EDITION with the full game inside. I am sure the 30 days only are valid if you actually open a new account with the COMPLETE EDITION..... now please show me the page with only the expansion and maybe it will say the same.

I mean, since you talk so boldly about ASS-U-MING things...

Have a link or just making shit up? both have it the regualr and collectors the complete edition is same price a WotLK where is their full game from Vanilla and 30 days free?

look again chester its there in print or do WOWboys only understand Amazon.com stuff and Xfire numbers? Go to lotro.com and you can see it from the main site if you want more official proof.

WotLK is 40 dollars comes with just Xpac not CD's from previous versions and no free game time, Lotro comes with 30 days free and you can install the game and all updates from day 1.

Look it up Google has beer and cookies!!

Edit- Sorry Blizzard does not have a "complete" version yet as it was all they could do to get you guys 10 more levels and 3 endgame raids and 1 new class in 4+ years. (the flavor of the cool aid is?)

I have a link? How is your attention span going?! YOU had the link!! From Gamestop!! It was the complete Edition, on LOTRO homepage is only the complete edition and you REALLY need to calm down and stop being an idiot when you ASS-U-ME things...

Oh, and reported for.. well, you are a pure asshat and the only troll in this thread. It's nice when the fan bois are the trolls. Good community.

Eh?
Who in their right mind was expecting a full month of free time from an expansion, it doesn't work like that.
Companies give a free month to new customers to get them hooked on the game, if you're buying the expansion only, you will already be playing and obviously caring enough for the game to keep on subscribing for a while. This is the standard model for MMO's when it comes to giving free time.

I think EQ2 has given a free month with their expansions previously, though not with their current one.
