Darkfall Releases - February 25th!!! Vaporware trolls = scum |

Words go really good with a side of "I told ya so"...maybe a little ketchup <3 The review is so great its amazing. Describing the graphics as the best they have seen in MMORPGs...the gamplay comments...especially all in line with the beta reviews that people were trying to play conspiracy theorist about. People accusing aventurine of telling lies about beta going on and "oh just let someone come in and play the game and review it". Well they did, and they said that anyone who wants to come is willing to do so. Does that mean they aren't willing to shell out money to sites to come review? I hope so.

This year - screenshots, videos, media coverage, beta and a free from NDA beta review. I like those words. Well it's all for me grog, me jolly jolly grog,
all for me beer and tobacco! |

Please don’t tell me this is the finished “review” of what Darkfall is. I sincerely hope this is just a preview of the full review, if not this is a joke and an insult to the community. |

No worries Polar, many realise at this point no matter how much you are given it will never be enough. Isn't this exactly what you asked for? You and Ten and Arcken wanted someone outside of Aventurine to play and review DarkFall. Someone credible, such as MMORPG.com or a gaming Magazine. Unless I am mistaken MMORPG Italia is basicaly an Italian MMORPG.com. So the beta comments were a joke, and the very thing that you and your brethren have asked for is a joke. The video is a joke, the screen shots are a joke..... I doubt that you having the game installed on your comp and running would be enough lol.
Anyways, You guys got what you asked for and you guys are the ones that said that would be enough. So with that I guess we can expect Arcken, Ten and you to cut back now? I mean this was the criteria you guys set for you to do so. This is exactly what you guys asked for. So what say you? Exactly what you asked for isn't enough either? Or are you guys now going to refrain a bit and wait now? |

Your reply was completely irrelevant to my question, so ill repeat it again. Is this the finished review of everything they showed them, or is it only a preview of the not yet finished review that will be released later, I cant find a clear answer on this. Not sure if I can make it any clearer. |

You are perfectly right, it indeed is what you see it as. Well not exactly, as it's a hasty preview of the preview to come (a review you will see when/if DF went gold). They just wanted to put out some rough first impression in order to provide all those fellows sitting and aiting at home a liitle bit of info while they're still on site. the preview in more depth is following, this was clearly stated on the website. |

I dunno, I think they just pushed this 'preview' out as soon as possible (hence the forum format) to give people the story asap. I'd imagine they'll do a more indepth cover unless the NDA restricts that. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |

Now you know ths interview and review is full of crap just based on their comments regarding how good the graphics are. The graphics in those screenshots look terrible. They literally look like something from pre 2002. They look far worse than AC2 which was out in 2002. This game is so doomed lol |

"In two words: it's an entirely new approach to Massive Multiplayer Gaming, and this is what the community expects. "
That's the review? Are you kidding me?
The review goes exactly like this:
Controls are complex. Graphics are amazing. Goblins replaces rats, and are complex(because they run when they're in trouble or "dodge" attacks just like every other game out there). You push buttons to cast spells, then click on the target(just like every other game). It even reviews the opening of windows. Like that is some awesome feature( just like every other game). How can you not see this as a shill? |

personally i think the non-stop panty-twisting and hair-splitting going on in these preview threads is a joke and an insult to common sense. |

Here’s my favourite parts of the review. Vaporware? Not at all! Let’s move to one of the most discussed aspect of the game: the graphic quality. Well, this won’t be a problem at all: it’s absolutely excellent, fluid and detailed. Then we move to the sound, an element which we didn’t analyze from the soundtrack side because we preferred to concentrate on the environmental effects: these are absolutely detailed and realistic. In conclusion: Darkfall exists, is really innovative and seems to confirm his plans. While we were trying it, here in Athens, we didn’t have any surprise, just confirmations: the game is really interesting, we’ve never seen something like this 'till now, and seems to be ready to realize its promises. In few words: it’s a completely new approach to the Massive Multiplayer Gaming, and this is exactly what the communities are waiting for. Maybe it’s too soon to say this will be the next Ultima Online but it has all the elements in the right place. |

How about talking about why Darkfall is innovative? Oh, yea, because this review was a shill. What is your agenda? I've said mine; this "review" is a blantant shill if you use common sense. You seem to agree that DF is not innovative like the reviewer tried to impress upon us. What are you trying to argue about? I agree!! |

okay i'll play along honeslty i'm not a darkfall expert but if what they say is true AI that spawns grows builds villages and loots players is something i have never seen before mounted combat is something i have never seen before ( i think aoc has it but to be honest i bought it and couldnt get into it so i only played like 4 hours) skills that degrage over time i have never experenceed ( tho it makes sence ya know use it or lose it ) so i guess to me if those things were incuded then i guess to me the game would have some new and inovated features but see thats the whip cream on the cake see at the end of the day all the games are cake its just when the baker puts a few cherries in the frosting do we get excited
