New genre invented by Blizzard: PvPfAE - Player versus Player for Access to Environment.

I love the expansion, I think it's fun and creative and beautiful, but it won't be fun until all the insane obsessives who have to eat their breakfast in three seconds get into the later areas.  Right now it's just crowds of people on their mounts racing each other for mobs, no fun at all as far as I'm concerned.  If somebody "finished" the game in 4 days, regardless of what exploit they used, I say great:  hopefully they will be bored and not log in, more room for the rest of us who actually know how to enjoy  something.

WRONG,  already done by Mythic in DAOC in Darkness Falls. Yet another copied feature Blizzard uses and people think it is their idea.

Well there's two response that didn't bother to read the OP's post, which was complaint about the rampant kill stealing and griefing going on in WoW right now as many player attempt to rush to 80, which is deffinately rough now, but as the OP states should level off the next couple of weeks.

Edit 3... 4...

Why do I bother coming here?

I really don't think that bothers me as much as this.

How many players does a WoW server hold 5000 give or take maybe, not sure but somewhere near there?

OK , so they hold let's say 5000 players and 4700 of them are Death Knights......

Seriously? You can't take 2 steps in the Outland without bumping into a Death Knight....

It is borderline mentally retarded how many each server has so many Death Knights.....

I have characters on 3 servers, and the problem isn't server specific, they have 4500+ Death Knights per server....

Welcome to the new game "World of Death Knight"

Very true... sadly (don't shoot me) I'm REALLY enjoying my Death Knight, if for no other reason than ZERO downtime... seriously, every class should use this mana system... I intend to keep playing mine, along with my other toons, but I believe again that you'll see this level off over the next couple of weeks. Both issues mentioned in this thread existed with TBC (then it was 5700 Horde Pallies and Ally Shammies) but they smoothed themselves out farily quickly.

 And the Delving in LOTRO.

I've been registered here a long time, I read daily. I just don't have much to say.

Well, you could sub to Warhammer or AoC. Theres no shortage of mobs in those to kill due to the populations falling, so I'm sure youll have fun.

Won't even have to race there on a mount.. just walk up to any mob around. It'll probably lay down on the ground for you as you're probably the first person to try and kill him in a week. :)

Having gone on a long, obsessive (shall we say) gaming session, I am now happily enjoying the level 75 areas with almost no competition.

I also started backwards, in that I got off the boat, went to howling fjord, having never even hit Borean Tundra.

Even then, there were quests that were incompletable until 5AM.

There's been some great moments too.  There were 3 horde players in a group making life miserable for people.  AOE spamming, mob tagging, whole deal.  They get to this one quest guy, he's dead.  No one is near them, because we all couldn't do the chain.  He spawns, they're the only thing near him...

And a rogue pops out behind the mob, sticks daggers in his back.  He proceeds to solo the elite.

I love that rogue.

In every country and in every age, the priest has been hostile to liberty. He is always in alliance with the despot, abetting his abuses in return for protection to his own.

It was the same problem with The Burning Crusade on release day in Hellfire and the Blue Alien and BE starting areas... I gave up and took a four week break to let everyone get out of my way so I could level in peace...

Blizzard has placed the number of subscribers for NA around 2.5 million.  There are 229 NA servers I believe currently.  That puts the number of subscribers per server at more than 10,000.

LOLOL yea....and WoW also contains no exploits that have existed since the game launched rofl :) sorry Blizzard does not 'perfect' everything its coppied.  It either downgrades or its medoicre only in a few rare cases was it 'better'.  Their UI and the Raid System are about the only things they copied that they actually improved and polished on compared to the predecessors (imho).

Still OP give the new expansion a good week or two then things become a bit more even it happens in just about any game and even more so in WoW's case since it has such an huge populace.

Nothing unique about WoW since TBC paladin & shaman on alliance & horde side.

All the same & pretty boring.

WoW hasn't had a single innovative or new feature in its ENTIRE lifespan. Not a single one. This is no different, this was a great feature of Dark Age of Camelot that once again, they ripped off. Story of their life.

Blizzard attempts to make a Warhammer RTS, Warhammer says no, you can't use our name, so they change the name to Warcraft and keep everything else the same. They get sued, but their profits continue to boom. What a scum bottom feeding company.

Haha, uh, no. The feature was great as it was. What Blizzard knows how to do is release a simple version fo the idea to people who have never played anything but WoW, so they can all worhsip Blizzard as the gods of creating great ideas!

Actually Skydragonren was talking about how many can get on the server at one time.  (which is around 4200ish).  He wasn't commenting on the actual total server population.

The fact remains that there is a limit to how many people can log onto each server at any given time.  Personally I don't understand (with how popular WoW is) why they haven't instead used different verson's of each zone so they could have less total servers and no queues.

I think that is something that most players would love to see.  I know I personally would love only one "World" (server) that we all shared.  It would be a lot more fun imho then multiple servers are.  Obviously the technology isn't quite there yet.  (EVE can do it only because so much of their world is empty space)

Currently playing:
LOTRO & WoW (not much WoW though because Mines of Moria rocks!!!!)

Looking Foward too:
Bioware games (Dragon Age & Star Wars The Old Republic)

Prove me wrong. It is a very well known fact Warcraft was originally a Warhammer RTS, but they couldn't get the license for it. Go ahead, name a unique feature, I'll tell you what game it got ripped out of.

Well, I certainly wouldn't want that.  I hate the idea of zones with multiple instances.  I want to see everybody there that is on the relm.  I can just imagine the guild chat.  "Hey guys come help me, somebody is ganking me in STV....I'm in STV #037"...."OK, I'm here to help, I don't see you....where are you at again?"...."I'm in STV #037, which one are you in?"..."Crap, I thought you said STV #039 - Let me run out and rezone"....  Yeah, that's really going to help with the immersion.
