From what I have read from our alter-egos in Korea this game is one of the best games of all time, and it still is in open beta. Now this means in no way that this game is perfect but this might be the game to drive WoW out of Korea for good. |

See question (4) at http://www.aionsource.com/forum/61489-post35.html . I can't go into exact methods (and I hope you have understanding for that), but we will be doing everything that is within our power to make sure that people won't be bothered by such EULA-breaking things. 3. Afraid not. We'll make sure it's enough, though. 4. Yes, to the extent we can. See my answer to question 2. Gold sellers/buyers are impossible to eliminate completely, but we will put resources into making sure that we've done everything we can at the end of the day. As with number #2, I can't go into much more detail. Ultimately, we'll need to prove ourselves capable of handling this, and we will. :)
#4 ok in Lineage II they allow you to make farmer guilds or clans its been a whilelol but its so blatant and retarded maybe i would have gone back if they didnt have that feature |

as for a simultanious release i think its just not possible what we wanted was a game with more story, more options, more quests, more content if we want a complex gui, voice over quests, cinematic cutscenes then yes i think localisation will take more and more time compared to your simple "go and kill 10 rats" type of game. i was pretty ok with the update cycle of lineage 2, actually it was quite fun reading rumors and patchnotes from korea a few month after the new chronicle went live. so in l2 you always had something to look forward too. and on bots/gamesellers: that issue killed lineage2 for me after 4 years of gaming i couldnt stand it anymore. im looking forward to aion but the length of my subscription will be based on the time i feel the game relatively bot free. if your bored, visit my blog at: |

I have a lot of faith in NCSoft, they've brought us a lot of great games, even more to come. I highly doubt they'll forget about the western market and even if it is an "after thought" we are still on the list. MMO Gaming is still growing in the west and it would be a bad decision to forget about a market you can still bank on. Aion is a great game, can't wait for the NA/EU release. Seriously, I am die'n here! |

In other words, if NCsoft won't enforce the rules in L2 when it doesn't benefit the bottom line why should anyone expect you to enforce the EULA in Aion if it doesn't benefit the bottom line? |

I have never worked on Linage II and neither has anyone on my team, so I am unable to give you an answer that pertains to to it. Aion is my focus and you can be sure that it gets my full attention. I know that there are sceptics enough to fill a football stadium out there, however, and many of those won't take my word for it. To that end we can't prove that we will do a serious effort in 'keeping Aion clean' until the show-down comes, but you better count on that we will. :) --- Follow my twitter! aion_ayase |

I'm glad to hear that and wish you the best. The game and NCsoft will do better over the long run if the EULA is honestly and consistently enforced. |

Originally posted by denshing I REALLY hope this is the way things go. Been playing Rappelz for over a year and half now, I have lost my faith in Korean games/Developers during that time. Game seems to change the way Koreans demand and western players are sending in petition after petition, bug reports after bug reports - we end up getting upgrade for what the Koreans asked for instead. I have personally reported a skill-bug for over 1 year and it is still un-touched. Yes, I' am a paying customer, they get their milk yet ignore the cow. Main problem is our GMs can only send e-mails and requests while Korean GMs can discuss things with the devs in person. Rappelz (just like Aion) is made by Koreans for Koreans. They published it in West, we get passes down what is beeing implemented for Koreans players. We get different rules for cash shop items, eg: I REALLY hope Aion is different and it prooves me wrong about Koreans games. PS: Sorry about the story of Rappelz. It was just to give an example of why I don't have any faith in Korean games. |

I like to think NCsoft is in a class above games like Rappelz. That may be ignorant of me, I don't know, but NCsoft actually has a western presence that's more evident. (,,,)=^__^=(,,,) ![]() |

Rappelz is a F2P game, i think it has nothing to do with Aion that is going to be a P2P game. Morerover NCSoft as stated clearly that Aion has been developped to try to catch with worlwide audience, not just Korean. They have plans to launch it in China, UE, Europe, South America and so. Sure Aion will have a Korean flavour but i'm sure it has nothing to do with your experience in Rappelz or any other F2P Korean games. Lineage II (NCSoft developped and distributed like Aion) it's the only experience i got with Korean games. I had only one complain about Lineage II and NCSoft, bots, it has been discused enough and Ayase as representative of NCSoft has talk about it. For the rest Lineage II has been during more than 3 years the best experience i got in the MMORPGs world. Then i trust NCSoft about his ability to develop and maintain a AAA MMORPG. You can like or not the design of the game, that its just a question of your tastes, but i'm sure NCSoft will deliver a well done and polished game, probably a lot better in this sense that the last unfortunated launchs coming from western companies. Comments from people in the Korean OBT seem to confirm it. Just my opinion, as allways in the MMORPG world the better is to wait and see. |

i agree with the above post and would like to add a few more points:
1. asian grinder 2. internatonal market but make no mistake in underestimating them. they had fun sieging and pvp in lineage2 years bevore western mmos and many old l2 players say they have yet to find a game on the western market that rivals l2 in these areas of pvp. on the issue of record breaking open beta subscription im a bit more sceptical tough. if your bored, visit my blog at: |

There is a 100% solution to this but as you asked this question I can tell you won’t like it. Wait till one month after the launch, read the reviews, make your mind up. Conversely get caught up in the hype, buy the 10 day head start preorder and live to regret it. It looks a great game to me, but I am going to be waiting that month. :) |
