Hi I am josh form the project game puya and we are making the game engine visual3d.net. We are making a game about fantasy vs humans etc. and the humans are steam punk metal slug ww2 tech and the game is a real time 3rd person and game like world of war craft except world of warcraft is not a real time game play game. This game is real time game play like zelda. We have the game engine and we are working on the models.
We have programmers, concept artist, game engine we are coding, 75 page design doc, we have 500 models and licensed darkavil.net is working on the game.
If you can animate that is great! We have made character models and they are rigged we ave to have someone that can animate the character models.
Visual3D.NET is being based off the .NET framework and gives you the power to program our game engine in languages our developers are already familiar with including C#, C++, Visual Basic, Java, Lua, and IronPython.

this game has alot of potential as long as it is overseen correctly, but at the same time it could easily be over done too. There are as you know lots of important details in the produciton, development and releasing of any game, MMO or other wise. Im not here to tell you how to do it, instead I would like to offer my help in anyway that i can. Im no programmer, im not any kind of employee or past employee for any video game develpment site or company. I dont work with the media, so for the most part i dont really have any credentials to present to you. But what i do have is the voice and opinion of the public and the immediate exposure to the opinions of gamers all over the Dallas, Ft Worth area, if you would like someone who can get, write, report and filter feedback for you and who can also provide some very in depth guidance to getting this game into a market that will take it to the top then please let me help you do that. My writing abilities are quite well, (despite any spelling errors you may see here) and my past with gaming is...for lack of better words ridiculous. There really isnt much of anything out there i have not played in some form, and ive been involved in just about every testing phase of just about every MMO on the net.
So in closing i really just want to help and see this game succeed, i honestly feel i can provide you with some very useful help. I just need you to be willing to give me a chance, feel free to interview, screen, test, quiz and even torture me in order to feel comfortable with me helping you. Beware the "Shadow Rogues"! |

i would love to be on the project but you dont seem to be very serious about actually wanting me on, your response is somewhat patronizing and you left absolutely no way for me to be able to make any real attempt to joining your "project" as you put it. if your goal was to make an example out of me then im sure you succeeded, sadly with people like you, and that arrogant attitude of "lol some nobody thinks he can make games" is exactly why you and so many other developers have and will fail in your poor attempts to make a game.
If by chance im wrong about you then I will gladly publicly apologize for my statement and be happy to support your efforts in any way i can. But I need some reason to believe that im wrong about you, as of now your not giving me anything. Beware the "Shadow Rogues"! |

i kind of agree with shady, this project looks interesting. but given josh's inability to communicate through im, or email in an efficient manner makes me believe he is not serious. I offered my services to volunteer for this project for some environmental modeling, and texturing, in fact technically he invited me. but this dude has yet to get in touch with me, its been almost a week and nada. trying ims, emailing him, but nada. oh well, moving on. starting to remind me of xshift online. hi everyone We can not do a lot we have to make the game engine 3.2 and we can have a lot of people work on models. We have a lot of work we are making.
we have a modeler that made a gun 1 hr it is great on game.

Know what really frustrates me is when so called game developers with there so called team of concept artists, modellers etc etc seem to steal work from others. The CbrK74 Plane Model, Im wondering if you've got permission to use that? I know the answer, so no telling fibs What about the concept artwork from www.barontieri.com? What's your answer with that one?
Now I apologize if this comes out as an attack its not, credit should be given where credit is due specially when you have alot of people saying how good the concept art and models for your game are on various forums. Thanks

Mmmm, steampunk ain't a bad idea. Take a look on real 19th century weapons and revamp them a bit to look nice. Here's my favorit real steam punk revolver: Le matt, it have 9 .40 shots and a 20 gauge shotgon shot, it really gives it a bit weird look that steampunk should have For the flying machine, you should have a look on USS akron, amaericas zeppelin aircraft carrier from the earlie 30s. The whole idea of it have that weird feeling I like in this genre, I am a fan of this kinda thing. The good thing about putting in some slighty modified real stuff is that they actually works and it adds realism while still giving the steampunk feeling. Well, good luck with your project.

I would like to help make models for the game but I have some qustions : What is the team like? Are they communicative and freindly? When will somone get back to me? :P
