And this dosn't go to all vets out there cause there are some that don't really care and go on about it.Simply wow i am amazed. I used to play SWG before the nge and i can tell you this during pre-cu it sucked there was nothing to do as a new player you didn't no what to do so i quit. When NGE came out i gave it a try and i can tell you this it is alot more fun because it gives you a quest right of the bat that you CAN do you are not made to. It has fun missions and rewards and helps you to level. And i have been playing for a year now and they have been adding new content that is fun to give you  a new experience like with the colections, Heroic instances, and a whole nething with the meatlump quets and thempark and also with this new chapter coming out with the battle of eco base where you can piolt AT-ST fly Snowspeeders that  actually have a Y and zZ axis to make rool and stuff. And companies are out there to make money and as long as they are making money they are not going shut down a game. And It is just sicken to see grown men and women bickering over somthing the happened 5 years ago it is just sad give it a try not all of you will like it but you go in there with an attitiude that it is not going be good just give it a try you might like it. And for all you people bashing it saying that it is going shut down and crap i have some advice for you get a life plz holding a grude for this long is not healthy and is just plan sad. and i no i am going get heat for this but  i don't care i am sick and tired of hearing bout this.

Your problem is easily solved , don't come to the SWG Veteran Refuge , that way you can avoid all the nasty truths floating around here , or perhaps your problem is bigger and you like everybody else hears how bad SWG has become not only here but on many , many , many forums ;)

How can you quantify this as a fact?  Given it has been three years and there have been numerous free trials provided, don't you think a number of former players have probably tried it to see if they like it? Don't you think a number of players have used their free trials to check out game updates from time to time? I've tried it several times myself.

He would have to change "most" to "some", then change "better" to "crappier", then finally change "has become" to "still is". Then he would be correct.

Op,  I just tried the "game" again a couple months ago. I assure you, it is still buggy, boring, and just as crappy as the day the NGE was released. Don't spit in my face and tell me it's raining.

Quick question Gimmly, were you perhaps involved in any focus testing for LucasArts oh say about 3 and a half years ago? Honestly, by your writing style and the 'facts' you've been spouting, I have no doubts you actually do enjoy the NGE. I bet it fits you like a glove.

We all pretty much know what the status of today's SWG is like.  You might feel the same way if you would have known about the game(s) you missed due to $OE's CHANGES. 

Give em time, tho.  They'll CHANGE it on you too.  If you like SWG (in any of it's many formats) they will find a way for you not to like it.  The only constant in SWG.

I have played pre-cu and SWG at launch and i think the NGE was a good change and i think people should this stop complaning over somthing that happened like 5 or 3 years ago nad holding a gudge for that long is un healthy and pathetic

It took me almost a month to get into SWG, I was too busy with school and life to do much more than wander Mos Eisley for a bit, get confused by, well, everything, and log. 

Then after wandering into the med center and having someone start a conversation with me (I'd of never started one back then, I didn't think of the game as a chat room back then lol), I 'got' it : there wasn't anything for me to do!  But so much I could do at the same time.  Incredible!

Didn't have to join a party hunting, didn't have to sit in my tiny house getting crafting XP, didn't have to use a tumbler if no one else was around to get med XP from.   Didn't have to spend waaaay too much time moving items around in my house till it felt right, didn't have to go looking for POI's and deals in random vendors, didn't have to join a city and eventually a guild.

I know other games use the same sort of leveling system with skill points and do-it-to-get-it xp, but this game was my first time in the genre.  And you always remember your first, am I right?

Nothing wrong with that, it's a public forum, everyone can express their thoughts.

But since you told us what you think, I let you know what I think, since everyone is posting their thoughts anyways, I think that you should go back playing with those hundreds of total players on the dead servers before they pull the plug instead of wasting prescious NGE playing time starting dumb rants in a  "Pre-NGE" forum.
