Maybe some ballsy developer will see this and take it to heart and realize what people really want in a game.

what i want most in a game is a world i dont have to just grind in to see the cool parts of i want to be able to do things in towns, i want crafting to be worth a shit, skill based would be awesome instead of levels i love exploring so a world without invisi-walls would be nice actually exploring is my passion in games. i love to travel and go ooo and awe over scenery and architecture |

Gameplay congruence. |

Well since Freedom wasn't an option, I chose Gameplay. Bioware did not make Knights of the old Republic 2. |

Actually, I like to have many of those in a game. Only one feature does not make the game great. However, just throwing them all into a game doesn't really do anything if there are no depth in thos systems. |

that is why it ask what you look for MOST in a game. There was not enough slots to list everything that people look for in games now days, and as this poll gets more and more responses i realize that there are an infinite amount of characteristics that people look for in games.
thank you for your input and lets keep getting votes in here. Beware the "Shadow Rogues"! |

I couldn't vote. I look must for exploration/discovery. |

Personally, what I look for in an MMORPG first and foremost is the game's methods of applying the player's creativity into the game experience. Be they cosmetic (as in lots and lots of innitial character customization options), or tactical (the use of various strategies in combat aside from "hack that til dead"). Additionally, I look into the community before I join any game, because I get the impression that game with a rotten community isn't going to be a ton of fun to play. I don't think those were listed, so I skipped out on voting. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - |

I couldnt answer the poll. The thing that 70% of players look for most in a game is exploration, which wasnt on this poll |

what I look for is simple. Diversity in character Development. to me thats everything. to me, that makes PvE and PvP much much more enjoyable. where i can create a toon to play the role i want when i want. rather then making a toon and forced to always play that role. |

Before WOW, there were MMORPG''s. After WOW there were online solo single RPG''s. |

Really, this post says it all. Like the fantasy works of Tolkien and R.E. Howard, people wanted to dive into those "worlds", not fit into some linear chapter and being driven to do whatever is required on the next page. Give us a world and we will give you our money. |

Originally posted by Mitara Yeah I agree. I think the silent majority of MMO players want a cool world first and foremost. That's not to say you can skimp on everything else and still be successful but I do think it's hard to get away with a crappy world. |
