How are the hundreds of pvp battles at one time going in DX10. |

In a word.... no. Contrary to what some of the fanatics try to purport, the game isn't "brand new, like a completely new game" after every patch. It's still basically the same game, with some tweaks and relatively minor additions. The changes have been subtle more than they have been sweeping, and many of them (other than improvements to stability) have not been focused on the real problems of the game (i.e. lack of endgame/broken current raid instances, lack of deep guild versus guild systems, the need for much deeper character development, itemization, revamp of crafting, etc). When they fix these types of things, the game will then be a passable MMO - still nothing special. As it is, for me, the game is still really boring and shallow as an MMORPG. It still offers much less than competing games, and even with the message from the director today, it doesn't appear that it is anywhere close to going beyond the competition anytime soon. Hell hath no fury like an MMORPG player scorned. |

Once they release DX10 version, I might come back to play again. I've been waiting for someone to finally take full use of my gfx cards, and AoC even on the maximum settings still didn't slow it down. Hopefully DX10 version will be as good as the hype.

The game is still missing a lot, plus they still have that infernal zoning. The game still has a ways to go before I could consider it in league with LoTRO, EQII, WoW, EvE, or CoX. It may be up to Vanguard level now, but it is stil a B or C level game. All it stil really has going for it are shiny graphics, and that to me does not constitute long term game material. |

Nah they would have to have an actual world as opposed to those closet sized zones that make console rpgs look huge, waaay too much loading (I'd keep playing COH if I wanted to have to load so much in an mmo) and it doesn't help that it was released by a pretty incompetent company that values perception more than it does reality or it's actual player base. |

No. IMO the game is still 12 months away (at least) to what I expected it to be at launch content wise. I may even give it a go again then if its still around. |

The newest patches are adding endgame content (dungeons and zones), which is what the game was sorely lacking back in July. They have mostly fixed the client. If aoc had launched today, it would be stealing thousands of players from Warhammer. If you are an ex-wow player and want to come back. Scroll of Rez gives 7 free days, boost a character to 80 a realm and faction change. Send me PM for an invite. Only 1 per day available |

As someone who is playing WAR at the moment,I`m seriously considering giving AoC a try. In the land of Predators, the lion does not fear the jackals... |

No... all the problems I had with AoC at release are still in the game (instancing, small number of players per area, lack of content at several points throughout character advancement that forces grinding, uninspiring combat system, itemization issues, weak pvp, advertised features not in, endgame concerns). All of the good things I was hoping to find in AoC and would have to wait for, already exist in other games like WAR, so I would probably just go to WAR. Waiting for: A skill-based MMO with Freedom and Consequence. |

Well I've been playing AoC for the past 2 weeks for the first time and....well......it absolutely crushes every mmo that is currently available........and yeah that includes the piece of bland boring garbage that is known as Warhammer Online. Its not perfect of course. Its extremely linear and the items are not exactly varied and interesting but then that applies to pretty much all the other mmos anyway. People keep complaining about zones and instances in AoC and yet none of the other mmos actually provide a convincing gameWORLD anyway so who gives a shit? Oh dear! You have to wait a few moments for AoC to "occasionally" load a zone. Big deal! How is that going to ruin the immersion factor that hadnt already been ruined by the fact that its a braindead mmo with almost zero AI? Who in their right mind actually finds stuff like WoW, Vanguard or EQ2 (which also has loads of zones) immersive anyway? All mmos are just level grinding bullshit lol. I'm actually amazed that AoC has provided an mmo where you actually have to be involved in the combat. You can actually aim for rough locations and even chop peoples heads off! Yeah ok it gets old after a while but I havent seen any other mmos pull that off. Its kind of weird actually that so many people seem to give AoC such a rough ride when its clearly miles ahead of its competition. Its graphicly superior to every mmo around, its combat is far more advanced and involving and all of its audio qualities are spot on.......and yet all anyone can moan about is lack of end-game content? |

How can you possibly say that the combat system in AoC is "uninspiring" when you have the WoW auto-attack crap that has been thoughtlessly plonked into WAR? Lets talk about character advancement in WAR shall we? Have you got any interesting tales to tell us about how you advanced your character in that game? What amazing choices did you make? lol ........oh yeah and lets hear about the "strong" pvp that exists in WAR......LMAO! |

The fact you craft the things from your own hardwork gives more meaning to me than something static that have no control over.

AoC is so far ahead of the competition that everyone is playing it. You seem to forget that with every month that goes by, AoC loses half its subscribers. AoC is and probably always will be a garbage mmo. If a competent company takes over AoC and gives it a major overhaul it might have a chance some day to become an average mmo. |

No. It's still a MMO with xbox360 at it's core design. it's still far to heavily instanced and zones are still tiny for a Pc MMO. What bigger zones they do have are just long and narrow with about 4 linear paths through them. I don't know what they've done to combat since release, but if it's still the very bland 1.2 3 to do a special, then that's still nail in the coffin for the game. The 1. 2 3 to use a special crap needs to go and be redone to a full on real time system where one key press for a swing in the direction you want and a special ability hot key that can be used at any time but has a cool down to use again, and the shield direction scrapped for just a standard realtime block set to a hotkey. |

To be totally honest I am rarely bothered when people talk about "lack of end game content" because I rarely reach the end of these story driven mmos. The boredom usually kicks in and I jump onto another mmo. However from videos I have watched of AoCs endgame content and things I have read it seems a lot more interesting and meaningful than anything any other mmo has offered. Take WAR for example. Its supposed to be an RvR game and yet its RvR aspect is totally meaningless. It doesnt actually matter if you lose a keep or not and as a result no-one cares about winning or losing. Who knows.......this might actually be one of the first mmos that I ever play through right until the end. |
