Should this picture indeed be real sample from FF?? Rapture, then a few things to note about the attire of the character seen in the picture.

1.  Body armor closely resembles certain pieces of armor from FFXI.  I'd have to say maybe it resembles Sha'ir Manteel for bards from FFXI a little bit.

2.  The sleeve and hand structure is very much similar to FFXI's Yukata and female hume hand.

3. Other characters in the back ground on the left of picture is wearing something very similar to the leather type armor from FFXI.

These points either means they are using FFXI as a basis make these pictures before actually start working on the game, or simply are transfering some design styles to FF Rapture. 

However, I will leave out the possiblity that this might be a sequel to FFXI.  One picture is not enough to make such assumption.  Especially for a game in development. (Probably no where close to a release either anyways)

Well it was an early tech demo, so I think they just borrowed assets from different places

For example, the look of the character in the pic looks very similar to the overall style in FFXII. Some of the textures in the scene look like they come from that game as well.

And I *think* someone at one point called out that the clothing she's wearing looks like something out of FFXI.

So.. I don't think that was necessarily indicative of what the final game will be like.

Alot of people are hoping for a FFXI-2. I think it'd be a neat idea... but I don't expect that's what it will be. We don't even know for sure it'll be a FF title at all. SE's not saying anything yet.

I'm keeping an eye on it though :)

It would be so random if http://www.bahamut.jp/ was actually for Rapture.

That image of Bahamut at the top of the graphic is definatly out of Final Fantasy ... looks a AWFUL lot like FFX Bahamut ... can anyone translate the japanese?

Seems like it could be FFXI related more than anything else ... even though it looks more like something else. I can't recall any place on Vana'deil that even remotely looks like anything on top of "Alexandre"'s shoulders there ... Would it make sense with a new game as Bahamut's blood would not be split as of yet? Crypic ... must check back on monday.

Possibly could be FFX-3 like has long since been rumored as a possibilty

That isn't sad ... what is sad is someone screen capping the image and then using photoshop to erase the words and numbers ... only true nerds would do that (/em point Icon)
