Back when i first started playing in Pre-CU, i didn't understand a thing. I took me alot of time to understand the complex system. You know all those skill boxes, all those weapons, proffesions, what to pick, which proffesions to combine and such. That was really hard, and there were no levels, so i coulden't understand when i got better, i was really confused. After a while though i got a grip on it, i still thought it was annoying though.

I whined alot on the forums beacuse it was to hard and complex. So SOE gave us the CU.

Now there was levels, which was awesome. Finally i understood i was the highest level, i never got that before (i know lol). And i saw you needed certain things to weild certain weapons, which was cool beacuse before i could use the best weapon on lowest level, and groupe and pwn! Now you needed higher level to have actuall fun. Haha to the noobs and low levels, thats what i said!

Still there were all those damn skill boxes, and free roaming, combat was a bit slow and such, i wanted more action, so i whined and whined on the forum.

Then, the most awesome day came.

The NGE, man was i happy. They got rid of all those proffesioins, all those itmes, all those box elements or what the heck those people call them.

And jedi as a start proffesion? Wasn't that awesome, i never understood how to be jedi before, it was all those badges, team parks, "Force thingy" TO MUCH READING, DAMNIT!!!

Now i could just klikc on a button, and voila! a lightsaber in my hand!

And level up and stuff, cool animations, and THE COMBAT, FREAKING AWESOME!

It was all so action, klick klick, it felt like an FPS game, man was i glad!

The NGE, It's easy, cool, and you don't have to do much to be good!

Yes you are correct the NGE was created for (no offense) simpletons.... 

They made it easy to apeal to a larger crowd but failed to realize how many people would leave.

Now the game is empty and dieing a slow death waiting for SWTOR to replace it!

Im sorry NGE killed it. I like how hard it was and all the proffesions You could actually be unique in the game. now everyone is the same. Also if you like Star Wars then you understand they destroyed the time line and history of it with NGE.

Original SWG was not HARD.... it was challenging, fun, and full of life.... NGE is so wrong it hurts... Thus the cries of SOE sucks...

I like the "Trick or Treat" feature they added! 10/10 And I can't wait for Hoth, the ice crystal will be almost as uber as the BluE Obi-wan crystal Elder Jedi got.Now if i can just get my elder robe I'll be set!

I won't deny that NGE destroyed a great game, but I still play and enjoy Star Wars Galaxies. Go ahead and tell me all that is wrong with it if you want. I have heard and experienced them all. I just like the game.

No.  He's too busy sitting in a corner, cutting himself, and crying for the past 3 years.

the "and I hate you for it" shows the type of person he is over a video game.

And, yes, I liked the Pre-CU (despite its glaring problems), didn't care for the CU, and left during the NGE after giving it a fair try.  Difference is, I got over it.  Even if I did lose a Creature Handler I put a lot of time into, as part of the deal.

Trub, I started to read your post but then I saw how many words there were and some of them looked long and hard (teehee, i said long and hard), so I just stopped before I got too confused.  Im sure it was great though and full of insight.

I think this is such a bad joke, horrible taste, ofensive even

Anyways this thread just proves it's not the same 4 people who hate SWG, and I'm sure if it were posted else where it would generate even more flames. SWG is one of those classic MMOs that most of the old school MMO players have at least tried, along with UO, EQ, DAoC ect. Most MMO Vets have at some point played SWG Pre-cu even if it was for a brief period of time. True most have moved on, but they all feel the same way, SWG was and always will be a disaster, and the NGE made it worse.

Why I must say im shocked at the suggestion that I would ever engage in such behavior.  I would prefer to call it an expression of emotion through alternative dialogue.   Or umm....something like that...

I believe that SOE knew that a large portion of the population would leave when the NGE went live. I think that they thought that the huge influx of new players would make up for the loss. It just shows what SOE thinks of its player base.
