hey i was wondering about people's opinions on the most polished mmo. Im not saying the more features the better, im saying a game that has been worked on and seems to be stable and has the least amount of bugs and has very little choppiness and lag and stuff like that. so im basically saying the best f2p game out there. Everyone has different opinions, so post yours

Atlantica Online is still in beta (open beta at this point, so it should be close to release), but it's pretty polished. Thing is, you either like turn-based combat or you don't. If you like it, you'll probably dig the game. If not, then you probbably won't. ~Ripper |

I would say Shaiya. It is F2P, and is way above most F2P, or even some P2P. |

I second atalntica |

How does a turn based MMORPG work? You have to wait for hundreds of players to take their turn doing something like attack, shop, move, sell, heal, ect and then take your turn to do something? I'm just trying to understand the concept. |

Only combat in Atlantica is turn based. And that's timed.
I wouldn't say it's the most polished though. Then again I played it during the CB. Still, the text overlowed the text boxes, kinda annoying. http://my.lotro.com/character/landroval/galadthryth/ - Lord of the Rings Online Character |

I think it's the funnest F2P game, but I wouldn't considered the most polished. I would say maybe shaiya, perfect world, or something. -------------------------- |

Drives me mad! Also I don't think you can see your party mates on the big map, and only the mini map. That kind of irritates me as well. -------------------------- |

yea i tried Atlantica and this is my opinion, i dont like the idea of turn-based combat in an mmo, maybe in like a regular rpg game or an offline game like pokemon, but i just dont really like it in an mmo, because when i think of an mmorpg, i think of constant fighting, not people taking turns.
I think runes of magic will be the most polished mmo. its not yet, but it will be.

Excuse me, but Atlantica Online is NOT polished. Polished means it runs well and that is one thing that Atlantica does NOT do well. It is pretty much a lagfest whenever you get more than a few people on the screen. Next time understand the definition of what the OP is asking for, before posting. Besides the combat is chessboard strategic only you can't move any of the pieces. Best polished MMO out there is Perfect World. The graphics are great, and the client runs well even with a myiad of people on the screen. Better yet you can fly in the game. Cash shop is a bit expensive, but you don't need it to play. Runes of magic could be a good one too, but it is still in beta and still has a few issues. |

Yea i've tried Perfect world and i didnt really get hooked. Runes of Magic has some problems like some of the buffs, debuffs, spells, quests, etc are in chinese very frustrating at some times, but im still looking for that great polished game that can get you hooked due to smooth gameplay and little bugs

Granado Espada in my opinion is the most polished. You may not notice it, yet where ever you click on a map, your characters go there perfectly. Whenever your character uses an attack or a skill, it does so perfectly. Infact the programming is so effecient and smooth that it can play itself without you needing to be there. Its also not too bad on system resources. There isn't alot of content to show in the game with the english versions, but you can tell alot of work went into each piece of content. I don't recommend the US version, Sword of the New World. It has some nastily coded features to differentiate it from the other versions. The coding itself atleast doubles the resources the game consumes. I would recommend the Singapore Version even if you are in the USA. |

haha dark and light is the most polished for me :P siikkeee! That game probably had theee most lag i have ever seen in any mmorpg period. I remember logging on and trying to play. it was unbearable, and i couldnt even comprehend why they would think to make it a p2p game. maybe if they fixed up their main problem, lag lag lag. The game was really cool and the features were great but you cant play a game when you cant.. play the game?
Does anyone know if the game is any better now?

Rohan is not bad F2P. That being said, I cannot imagine not using the cash shop. It says open beta, but it runs like a production game. |

QFFTT IMO or Quite Far From the Truth, In my opinion Runes of Magic in it's current state is far from polished and far from being, and possibly even from becoming, an enjoyable MMO experience. There's a little bit of everything from every MMO I've played, including chinese text, and a lot of GRINDING. The quests are par for the course as far as tasks are concerned, but they are uninspiring with little to no Lore. The entire time I was in the game, I really didn't care about what I was doing or why and that was mainly because the in game lore, and reason for existing, back story, etc is not established very well. It's an closed beta, yes, but it's a translation of a finished chinese game. They aren't going to change anything, what we see now, will be what we get when a wipe is done and translation is complete. I have already given up on this title and I was really hoping it would be 'the F2P' game. I honestly can't recommend any F2P MMO.... You could try Guild Wars, it's subscription free, but you do have to buy the CD's. |

Most polished will be Sword Of The New World, Rappelz and Perfect World. You already tried Perfect World so I recommend trying the other 2. Runes Of Magic is in closed beta at the moment but by the time its released it will be polished and it already is the best FTP MMO on the market. |

I agree that Atlantica isn't that polished (but boy I have seen far worse) and I wouldn't say it was the most polished F2P game. But lag fest with a lot of people? I've been around a lot of people and it might have lag'd ever so slightly for me, so maybe it was just your computer. -------------------------- |

Compared to Guild Wars, it doesn't compete. But you actually have to buy the retail version for that game. RoM will be free to both download and play, and I was comparing it to others of that ilk. The general standard of F2P's is not very high, and therefore I feel against this limited competition, RoM stands out as being a cut above. |

Ive actually tried both Guild wars and i've been in the runes of magic beta for a long time, but runes of magic as of now is a really big grindfest, i dont know if im allowed to say why so i wont, but Rappelz is polished? Ive never played that how is that?

Rappelz is one of the biggest Grindfests of all F2P games.... |

I just got into the Priston Tale 2 Beta and its the best FTP Game I have ever played. I spent the first few minutes just looking around the world and saying wow this game is beutiful. The music is also amazing. I recommed anybody looking for something to try it. There are 2 websites hosting the game. The first link is where the game just started Beta but it may be an IP Ban for the US when the game launches. The second link is sceduled to start beta in a couple of weeks and it will be the US only Version. |

Atlantica and Runes of Magic both in beta now seam pretty polished. |
