I love how anything is produced now-a-days....and i particularly love the wickipedia entry which states the producers are looking for a "Zach Snyder, Christopher Nolan Type"...duh...in other words any director that can make a bazillion dollars on the IP just b/c they made a bazillion dollars on other movies. Ridiculous...how bout you find a director that has the same passion for the property that  Snyder had for "300" and has for "Watchmen"...or that Nolan had for his batman films.  That's what will make a good movie..(not to mention an appropriate budget)..it's so ignorant and idiotic to assume that the movie will be a success b/c another movie by the same director was successful. ...thats why entertainment...video games/mmos...movies....tv...for the most part...suck so much f@cking ass these days.

couldn't agree more  I say find unknowns and do the whole movie or the guy who did lord of the rings .
 

i wish they weren't doing it from one sides prospective but  I guess all folks need good guys and bad guys to be more black and whire , but wasnt allience the bad guys in that game?

Maybe that is what they were referring to? not a famous director perse, but a director that understand the IP? why do you assume the former and not the latter?

Legendary Pictures is the company that MADE the batman movies, 300 and the Watchmen, the superman movies and much more. their movies tend all to deal with adaptation of some geekly media to the Movie format and I do not see anywhere any indication that this one adaptation should fail... So far their adaptation movies have all been at least decent, so I am quite confident the Wwarcraft movie will be at least on the same levels.
