Ok I'm not 100% sure, but it seems like the characters in Aion don't really interact with the ground in the world, i saw couple videos that really showed the ground and feet, one of them was in the snow and it more seemed like he was just running/gliding didn't really seem like his feet were touching it or anything, but i DO think i saw some footprints on the snow when he ran, but yeah it kinda seems like its just like AoC how we feel like we're hovering a little. Er it's hard to explain, lol.

Linking the video would help. There are older builds videos of this game in youtube and maybe that's what you saw.

The shadows might have been off, that is normally what dictates weather an object is on the ground or not. if  its not that, then its probably just a minor beta bug.

It's possible what you saw was an early version of the build where the devs did state they were working on the skating issue where characters kinda glided over the ground while running, a problem present in L2 I think. ;)

It was one of the things they didn't want in the game.

Here is what the game REALLY looks like, not like those fake scripted movies. The a typical GLOWING effects that are in EVERY asian game, look how EVERY player has a ridiculous pink/blue hue about them.I say ridiculous because that is my opinion anyone disagree that it does not look ridiculous?

Listen carefully to the sounds, they are old school MU online sound effects ,just aweful...again my opinion anyone disagree?

And of course the usual what i have been saying "Horrible Animations"tell me anyone here can actually follow the fight scenes?the movements are TOO fast because there are not enough animations in the sequences.

You won't see it here but there are some special effects i think look ridiculous but i could understand some liking them.Things like the ranger that has some 8 shadows showing when using a multi attack arrow.There the player that flips upside down into the air ad does some unrealistic moves ad the you have the player that picks up a foe on the end of his OVERSIZED weapon ad throws him through the air[again urealistic}

These are the kinds of looks a game uses in penny arcade machines, this is why i refer to these type of animations/graphics as penny arcade.

On a side note, how many players do you think will all be after the flying ability?I say 99%,you will have here another Horizons[i think that was the game]where 90% of the population is all the same a DRAGON,in this case they will all be flying. If not then so be it that is good, but if everyone is just flying around, then it will become a VERY kiddish game.Yes i know about them saying flying will be limited ,i beg to differ ,it will still be used EVERYTIME a player can use it.I would like to hear other opinions as to weather or not they think everyone flying around in the game ruins it's image as a respected game?IMO remove that flying and the game would be respected A LOT more, kiddie niche ideas don't sit well with me.

Honestly i am not just posting this to bash a game, i could very well end up playing it ,if it ends up a better product than the early indications show.I just like people to stand up against poor quality efforts,it is the ONLY way developers will get the message and straighten out there act.KOREAN games have GREAT potential,it is a few things they have not lost from the MU online days that bothers me,they need to make changes to there games other than modernized graphics ,there is more to a modern game than that.>>>lose the unrealistic animations/unrealistic weapon sizes/modernize there sound effects/and geesh lose those glowing hues that all there games have.

WOW edited were several "N" missing may still be some.crap keyboard.

What are talking about? You get your wings at level 10 sweetheart, of course everyone can fly.. There is a flying limit though, so you CANNOT FLY IN THE SKY INDEFINITELY. Okay? :)

As you level you will be able to extend your flying time, but it still will have a time limit, this is why you have to watch your timer when flying because you may very well plummet to the ground and die.

That video is highly pixelated so I didn't bother watching it honestly.

Divine power, people only have it because it's intelligent to have it at 100% (glowing) before pvping/raiding. Read upon divine power on the stickied FAQ.

Listen carefully to the sounds, they are old school MU online sound effects ,just aweful...again my opinion anyone disagree?

You can always turn them off, and it's not the same watching than playing by yourself, I found WAR videos before playing where I was like...wtf is up with those retarded sounds, then ingame I wasn't bothered by them, they felt alright with the music. That being said, NCsoft west said they are working on the localization, that might include sound effects also.

And of course the usual what i have been saying "Horrible Animations"tell me anyone here can actually follow the fight scenes?the movements are TOO fast because there are not enough animations in the sequences.

Again, animations are a huge selling point on this game even if you prefer them slow. Check out the recent videos posted in this site in order to see the possitive feedback. The animations aren't lacking frames, try to put a video in a video edition software and you'll see how smooth they really are.

Again, divine power. And yeah, this game was never meant to be medieval-fantasy.

These are the kinds of looks a game uses in penny arcade machines, this is why i refer to these type of animations/graphics as penny arcade.

Thanks for clarifying.

1 minute of strategic flight, it's a skill which has its advantages and disadvantages, using it the whole time when enemies can make you fall and take huge damage? Doesn't look like a good strategy for me. And again, this game was never meant to be medieval-fantasy

You are looking for an AoC/Lotro type of game, there are many out there with medieval slow paced combat and realistic skills.

I find that rather boring, but to each its own.

Considering this is a fantasy setting, and these are divine ascended beings, no, I don't think the auras are particularly rediculous. Look, this game doesn't really seem to be the style you're looking for, and while that's fine, it's unreasonable for you to ask that they change the entire game to meet what YOU consider to be acceptible. This is how interesting games get crammed into being clones of everything else, because people complain about it being different than what they expected or what they think it should be until its changed. The game hasn't come out yet, you don't have any investment in it. Clearly its not what you want, so why don't you just drop it and go play a game that caters to your particular tastes rather than going on a diatribe about how we're wrong, its terrible, and this is why.

Testers reported this during and after cb1 (as viewed in all cb1 video's) and was corrected for cb2.
