When I first played, on launch, performance was sub par on a high-end PC. Has it gotten any better with the patches that followed? I never subscribed, so I quit playing before the 1st of October. |

I thought that my pc will run this game very smooth but still I got so much lag when I engage in PvP/RvR with 12 vs 12 players (example) I cant imagine what would happen if I participate on a massive war. |

I can play Mass Effect on highest settings and overall my computer is well... great. I do when playing WAR keep getting massive lagspikes, smaller lag and crashes to desktop however. The game performance is, truth said, horrible. |

I have to agree... while I love the game, the performance is subpar for the way it looks. If the graphics were absolutely dazzling you would understand the lag. But the graphics aren't honestly that spectacular yet lag is still quite a problem on a high end computer. MMOs played (In order of how much I've liked them): Star Wars Galaxies, World of Warcraft, Vanguard, City of Villains / Heroes, Guild Wars, Warhammer Online, Age of Conan, Tabula Rasa, Anarchy Online, Ryzom, Final Fantasy XI, Matrix Online, RF Online, Rappelz, Hero Online, Roma Victor |

The last times I have been on I crashed to desk top twice in 15 min. It seams like it's getting worse. |

I never have any lag spikes even in large RVR fights but I do get at least one CTD every session. It was better for awhile but now it seems to be getting worse again. ==================== |

Don't have any base for it, but I have read somewhere that the game hates Nvidia cards... Could it be that? I myself has a Nvida 8800GTS 640mb and I can't really put my finger on it... but it's slow and some artifacts in the graphics... it's playable for now as I seem to be more or less alone everywhere... but I don't really want to know how it would be in a keep battle or so... :/ |

Aye, I haven't played in a couple days, but when I did I lag a ton even with the settings down, and my card can run Crysis on Very High with no lag... ------------------ |

Game runs great for me. FPS is always 70+ with all graphic settings maxed. I still get CTD's occasionally, in most cases when changing zones. |

i don't understand why the performance is so bad either. I can run AoC on high with 60-70 fps, in war i get maybe 40-50 on high. this is without massive battles on the screen. the fps drops alot when big battles happen in war so much i need to go down to lowest settings to get fps above10. I havn't had siege battles in AoC yet since iam only in my 50's, so i can't really say but iam sure i wont need to drop to lowest. Still weird for a game with out the high end gfx. I am sure they will find the fps sucking errors soon, and hopefuly they will find the ctd problem too. |

earlier today, i ran the game. the client was a bit shaky. more shaky than the previous weeks. why? i dunno. i'm on a laptop that's at 2.5ghz core duo, 4gb ddr3 1033mhz corsair memory, dual 200gb hard-drives, and an nvidia geforce 9700m gts 512mb video card. there are still some parts of the inevitable city where the graphics are pasty. at any rate, just thought i'd share. |

128mb intergrated vram, 2gb ram, 1.7 dual core windows vista, runs smooth on highest res, balanced setting for everything except effects which is set to self, laggy in ORVR (2 full warbands vs 2 full warbands) which is expected. |

The game has been runnign much better since they did the most recent hot fix for Runepriest. I can actually play itunes whilethe game runs now. The performance overall is stil bad but it seems to be slowly etting better. The thing that is killing this game are the particle effects and environment effects. If you play the game with 0 effects, it runs pretty smoothly. |

I've only been playing since open beta started. And the game has crashed like two times until maybe a few days ago (i forget, not to long ago). Which being the clients fault. Any other crash came from my behalf... alt-tabing. But lately i noticed the client has been acting more goofy now. Like it will crash but it won't and it will go right back to the game... or it will totally crash all together. Anyway's more then likely some freak occurances. Cause before that... the game has been stable for me. |

It doesn't matter how much ram you have or what machine you have, be it amd, intel, ati or nvidia. Its a very random thing which no one can answer why. That said, Mythic say that they will deal with it in patch 1.1, which will come out in Dec... till than just hold on tight.....
