It would be cool if you could use 1 or more alts to help level another character on the same account in the game. These could act like NPC's during quests, or have them as some form of pet where they could be ordered to attack. Similiar to guild wars where you can group with NPC's to complete quests.
Example :- level 50 guardian as pet.
It can be frustrating trying to form groups to complete group quests, this would go some way to helping out.

one of the most retarded ideas ive ever heard. |

Bad Idea, this is because I could start an alt, put my 60 champ as a pet and annialate everything in sight. Easy-Mode? I think so. |

Why the hell should I work? She''ll just spend all my money on shoes anyways! |
I would love to see this in a new game designed around this but not brought into any existing game.

Its all about the LoS = Line of Sight mechanics. If I can't find a group for many of the group quests outside an instance I do what I can to strafe and run around obstacles that not only slow the enemy down but can confuse their movement{not the anti-exploit ???} giving you time to throw off attacks and run away again. If that doesn't work then wait a few more levels and come back when its a green quest and do it!
Oh and your alt-pet idea is pretty stupid....this game is already easy enough and MMOs in general are suffering enough from solo play and players not playing together! If anything most if not all quests should be group required with just a handful of solo quests....bring the MMO back to the MMO I say! |

If you want a crap mmo with no solo play, go play FFXI. |

You can do this in LotRO right now. Just purchase a second account. You can play both accounts on one computer. The ultimate example is Bombjoure (who quit LotRO recently) -- Bomb had six LotRO accounts and grouped with his six level 60 hunters, mostly in Ettenmoors. This legendary, allbeit extreme example of the multi-boxing LotRO player used his own system of interconnected computers to make it work. Multi-boxing is not a violation of the LotRO EULA., although many players consider multi-boxing "cheating," while some have no problem with it. Learn more about the legend of Bombjoure on the LotRO Official Forums. |
