For the record, on release WoW had awful class balance. Warriors with 3.8 attack speed weapons 2 shotting everything, Paladins pigeon-holed into healing because their other specs were totally useless. Fury warriors outdpsing all classes by a substantial margin because of broken mechanics. There was no balance with WoW for a good while.

People forgot how bad warcraft was at release but are quick to take jabs at games that have been out for 1 MONTH.

WoW's a great game but saying that it was perfect at release or more balanced than Warhammer is just ignorance. It took warcraft a long while to find its feet.

Yeah you are right genius, but you are forgetting one little detail, WoW didn’t have BGs or any sort RvR pvp since day one like WAR does.

Seriously, who can say that this picture is not what we see in Scenarios. 5-6 BWs topping the chart, doing 3x-8x the damage of other classes.

And to the people who say, WAR != Scenarios, go get a pill.

1. Currently WAR = Scenarios

2. There is no reason for a class that is doing uber high damage in scenarios not doing good in oRvR. Add walls of keeps to the equation and you might understand the problem maybe.

Here:

http://img523.imageshack.us/my.php?image=uberbw3qy3.jpg

4 BWs. Average level 36.5. Average damage of these 4 BWs > 2 times the damage of its highest contributor mirror class.

The average damage of all people in the scenario is ~50k. This is 1/4 of the average damage of BWs.

Do you people seriously think the game CAN survive like this??? Either you roll a BW or just quit. Because if you are playing another class, you are just worthless.

Happy re-rolling BWs or /quitting.

Ted Treffon: No, I don't represent that either.

Osbourne Cox: You are part of a league of morons. Oh, yes. You see you're one of the morons I've been fighting my whole life. But guess what. Today, I win.

that is because it was made and intended to be a pve carebear haven.

Just because there wasn't battlegrounds doesn't mean you can't pvp? And if you reread my post you'll see that I'm refering to class balance in general, not just in regards to pvp. Balance in a pve game is still important.

And to the poster above, care to explain why a failcom avatar makes me a hypocrite?

WoW had PvP in the sense that "you could attack the other guys" at launch. It took close to a year before they began implementing some limited PvP content and rewards, however. Their initial Honor System was horrible though, but they realised this and fixed it up later, because they are smart like that.

May the fact failcom actualy lied to its end users and treat them like crap.

They released a half baked half finished product which actualy did not include things stated on the box.

Mythic on the other hand have been upfront and honest about what they have done.

they have comunicated with its users and while war is not some peoples cup of tea they have been honest.

so yes he has a valid point , if you dont like the game why beat on it every opitunity.

What has mythic done so bad?

well i remember podcasts of war that made me believe crafting was fun, that i would meet masses of players in public quests, that there was explorations and changing battlefronts and that you could visit a questgiver after kiling 20 bears and still get a reward, that i would have cool trophys dangling from my battlescarred ork, and....

i do love war but apart from the dx10 issue i see parallels with expectations risen bevore launch of aoc as well as war

in general im much more for an open beta period like in atlantica,  (korean)aion or a free to play area like in tcos opposed to creating images in the fanbased mind that the hands on feeling of the game just cant hold up to.

hell even now i see videos of upcoming releases of lineage2 for example where the devs show fortress sieges with golems and cannons and flying wyverns yet as veteran of the game you know it will be most likely a shootout of unbalanced, botted up or ebayed power-classes.
i believe that even the visions and expectations of the developers can be a far of the reality of the game once it hits life servers.
