This is a tragic loss to Funcom and I hope these thieves are caught. The devs at AOC put alot of hard work into  this game and someone just feels they can steal it.

Maybe Blizzard stole them they steal everything else.

Yes all the hard work they put into listing features on all those boxes.  Damn those "thieves".  They are going to steal all $7 dollars of the sales revenue those boxes would have sold.  Seriously though, what on earth are some criminals going to do with 4,000 copies of Conan.

*All kidding aside, I think it sucks that this happened.  I do hope they get caught, but I can't help but giggle at karma in a way that I should not be happy to admit*

No, Funcoms customers left AoC and went back to WOW willingly. After playing AoC they woke up and saw that what a truly polished product WOW really is at this point. There is no arguing that point.

Current MMO dev teams = Keystone cops.A pure comedy of errors, sadly its not as intentional.

Is skeet popular in England ?

If so, the thieves could probably make some money by loading the boxes into launchers, and charging people for each shot .

UO made people nervous, now it just makes them dress funny.

Imagine how much the thieves are going to lose in online auction posting fees. I think the street value of all those games comes in at around -372.50 USD.

Trammies need to stop polluting the MMORPG landscape. They already have enough games in which to emote hugs and sell garbage by the banks.

Funcom just announced that the sub's for AoC went up with 4000 in a day so, they think that the game is on the rise now...  (j/k)

I can see it right now, once they realize what they actually stole "W T F AARrgghhh"  I think they could propably make more money stealing any other game, any at all, Sam and Max adventures would be easier to sell lol

ha some store figured a way to make money off old AoC boxes.  Hire someone to steal them and then make an insurance claim for the loss.  Slick, very slick.

MMOs require more reasoning and imagination than most stereotypically ''adult'' activities.

You know, I can't think of any other reasonable explaination than that.  If someone is going to go through all the trouble of stealing 4000 boxes of something they would at least know what they were stealing and have some preconceived plan on how they would sell them.  So either the thieves know nothing about computer games--which games are popular and which are not, or they stole them to pull off an insurance scam as you suggest.

Too bad they didn't catch it on video. So I'll go with the inside job for an insurance claim.

That wouldn't be far from the truth, I bet we see a big influx of cheap copies of AOC on good old ebay...

Don't know if you can run it?

Stolen games don't only appear in flea markets/car boot sales, they also appear in reputable high street videogame stores that sell second hand games.
