Hmmmm... I am playing AoC with people on TL server that has processor 2.4 GHz and 2 GB of RAM  Vista 32 and they play this game on high (+40 FPS in thoughest graphics conditions). They do however have a nifty graphics card though like GeForce 8600 or more. Given you have a decent card I think you could be able to play this game on low settings. Let's however first hear the specs of your graphics card.

Just out of curiosity, you were looking 15 min ago for a MMO to play (postinghistory), and you already decided you want to have a look on AoC. What was really the thing about this game that appealed the most to you?

i refuse to believe this above post. i have a p4 3.4ghz processor with 4gig of ram and an 8800gts and never was able to get above 30fps and that was on medium setting.

In all honesty i could possibly beleive it as i had a simialr system to the one he mentioned and was getting around the same, but not in all area's would drop to around 15-20 fps,  for some reason on my old machine i was able to play the game better on High settings than i was on low or med.

But nonetheless you should be able to so long as you have a decent vid card, Oh and i would suggest more Ram i dont know if that is enough, actually i highly doubt it will be enough.

Well i have a Quad 6600, 4 gig or ram and a 8600gt and when i use to play i was getting min 40+fps and on most cases around the 80-90fps with everything on ultra high and the lower i turned the settings down the lower fps i would get.

Now i think the 8600gt sucks but it just proves that different set-ups can work a whole lot different in that regard.

i thought the same myself. i went from dual 7800 gts to one 8800 gts and got nothing. maybe the new patches have fixed some things.

I understand your skeptisism, there would be absolutely no way a rig like what I refer to could pull off +40 FPS in the toughest Villas before patch 2.0. Now, tafter patch 3.0 this is absolutely normal. OP's PC is borderline though, but I think he should be able to pull off acceptable FPS on low. Again this depends on graphics card. OP what is your vid card?

That cpu might be ok and depending on what gfx card you have it might run ok, but i see you have only 1 gb of mem , you will need atleast 2gb to run this game without pulling your hair out( 4gb is ideal ).
