Just signed up for the closed beta for Champions Online. Anyone else an old Champions rpg player? Looking forward to this one while still trying to maintain a healthy disconnect for the MMO version. Can't be as open ended as the pen and paper character creation but I am hoping a similar flavor is created. |

Ya, it had an interesting point buy character creation system. Hmm, seems like they are keeping the Champions team characters as npcs. |

Yeah, the old Champion game had a famous character building system. It wasn't balanced in any way shape or form though, relied on the GM to police character builds... There's a board for the game around here somewhere. |

yeah, I find the idea of this game insteresting. I'd love to beta, especiallya s I used to play Champoions RPG and still have all the books and modules.

The only thing that sucks is that they aren't going to be able to have any of your favorite comic book heroes in this game. After they changed the game from Marvel Universe Online to Champions Online, they had to get rid of any reference to any well known super hero in the game. So unless you played the old Champions comic books, most of the NPCs based on actual comic book characters will be unknown to you. =/ |
