Just look it up: window dragging - it was an art in DAoC and it still is in the game. That's why they have 63 EU servers and LOTRO has ... 11.

there was a drop off after the first month . the same thing happened in warcraft . still it does seam to have a pretty strong user base . my gut instinct is it will climb to a million worldwide within the first year . lots of people are waiting for a free trial and even more will come back once they get fed up with the new content in wow . personally i plan to alternate between the two . i would say warhammer is as good as warcraft was when it was initally released . but you have to bair in mind that wow is now in its 4 th year ( or very nearly ) so it does have the edge still . one thing i would say is that warhammer is all action and sheer fun from the start . warcraft takes a lot longer to get to the interesting content and its unlikly you ll get into any real meaningful pvp untill the latter levels . i m not worried about this game . its a decent enough product . its doing well and its popularity will increase . no one wants a wow killer really , we all want a vibrant mmo market and a strong alternative to it. in warhammer we ve finally got that . after the last couple of years with the likes of vanguard , age of conan and tabuala rasa , warhammer comes as a breath of fresh air . |

WAR has in tops 200000 players right now. Xfire is down another 25% since last week. WAR minutes in Xfire is in the 20000 now. Which is <50% of original activity when 400000 picked up the game. www.xfire.com/games/who/Warhammer_Online_Age_of_Reckoning/ I am waiting on a trendchange because my biggest problem is that I can't find anyone to play with ingame, but it looks like this bitch is going to die. Thanks Mythic. |

That is going to be poison to the game if they don't deal with it. As it's half the servers that are nearly empty! Half the EU servers that can be shut down, when they finally move those people over to the Med - Med servers! Cheers
i agree 100 percent . this game is so reliant on a strong user base the server issue needs to be adressed asap . also its crucial they offer a two week three trial sooner than later so people can try it and see its potential . |

Whats the point of trashing the game constantly? If you don't want to play the game then, well.... bye. I think this forum should change its focus to actually talking about the game and how to have fun playing it, rather than if it will fail or not. The game has been out for ONE MONTH, are we going to have to deal with posters sentencing it to death at this time every single month for the rest of its run? If so, I need a new forum to check out. Is everyone an amateur video game market analyst on here? Everything past the fact that the game is still running and you can log in is simple speculation. On that note, I have some speculation: forum posters in general do not represent "most users" but rather the extreme end... therefore most people don't have the problem with not having anything to do after reaching level 40. Most people, including myself, are not power gamers. Does it make this class of gamer feel good to see a competing MMO fail or do poorly? Some people here might be one evolutionary step above the whackjobs who constantly argue whether PS3 or xbox is better. |

like i said the will need to raise the population cap and merger server /10000 per faction (yes it is a bit much) if the sistem doesnt work like in Daoc well to bad but what ya gona do and o yea they did a stupid mistake when cloning servers lol noone even moved to them just a waist of time and money |

They.have.raised.the.frigging.quotas. Read MJ's posts regarding this if you do not believe. If an 2000/2000 meant High/High in a 2500/2500 capped server, if you raise the cap to 5000/5000 then 2000/2000 becomes low/low. Med/Med, low/low, super_high/super_low do not mean ANYTHING. However, some people do not get this (IQ problem), and they will continue to give these as proof. Actually your the exactly the low IQ type person they are talking to with this garbage. If you believe this bullshit I got a bridge to sell you too. Log into a low pop server and tell me how many players you see running around then tell me the population decrease is because they raised the servers cap. |

Sure doesn't have anything to do with the fact that they raised the server caps, eh? What people will say/do in order to trash a game they don't want to be successful! |

They'll make up any numbers and derive all types of conclusions from them just to make people *think* the game they don't like isn't doing well. Heck, we even have people here who create alt accounts after being banned just to come back and continue their tyrade. It's quite amusing to see the passion, Orionman! Can't find anyone to play with? Try AoC... I hear their numbers are UP!

Woooooooooooooow, the most useful website on the planet. Daaaaaaaaaaang, thanks for this website I will now be able to track if this game gets over 1 million and if this game doesn't get over 1 million then I'm totally quitting |

Ya and another thing, creating alts this early in a release just means that the game is short or people are just bored with it already and trying to find some enjoyment somewhere before quitting. It took me almost a year to create my first alt in WoW, then I created 4 more right away, then I quit for a year. Then after trying out a bunch of different MMOs I saw that WoW was a pretty good game. But Im always looking for something new and WAR failed me. Maybe SGWs will be different but until then, Ill be happy playing WoW.
.. creating alts does shows nothing about bordem. I created a lot of alts in CoV, WoW, AC.. hell.. everygame I've played for 1+ Years.. so your assumption is wrong. Now, body, azile, and this guy.. go back to Wo:W. You don't belong on these boards if every time you come here, you bash this game. I feel bad for you. It's like your WoW is so bad in your eyes, and not fun, that you have to try to demoralize anyone that is having fun by spewing gloom and doom. Currently playing Real Life.. http://i36.tinypic.com/2uyod3k.gif For all your stalking needs.. |

Server merges already? The game's only been out five minutes! |

I remember the day of seeing nearly 100 people in the AH in Stormwind and the AH in Altdorf if i see 20 people there and its the only city during prime its busy, busy. I wish Mythic and this game well because they did get it right in there first major MMO DAOC. They just screwed it up along the way is all. |

"Actually your the exactly the low IQ type person they are talking to with this garbage." IS this even a complete sentence ? You seem to have a hard time forming complete sentence and yet you fell as if you can comment about someones IQ ? What a Joke. Anyways, since you make a comment on server pop I asked you WHAT SERVER YOU PLAY ON ? I am sure I know the reason why you conveniently ignored the question, but since you continue to run your mouth I figured I would call you out on this again. |

It's interesting to look over the class ratios etc. on the site the OP lists. |
|
|
If these numbers are correct, there aren't that many people that lvl up to max lvl it seems. Is that because the game is 'extremely casual' or are there that many dropouts along the way ? |

There's this stupid opinion that "a game has to have the most customers for it to be good". Wrong. A game has to be profitable but it certainly doesn't have to have the most customers. ..dare I make the next comparison. Just because Windows has more customers than Apple, this doesn't imply that Windows is a better operating system ;) |

Oh one other thing. That Analytic site is flakey. There's whole guilds on my server (that have hundreds of members in them) that are missing off it. |
