I hate to say it, but I have been waiting for this game for a long time. I love mmo’s. Don’t get me wrong. There have been only 2 games to get me away from them for any amount of time. Half life 2 and Oblivion. Being a fan of Bethesda and the Fallout franchise gives me reason to believe that I may finally get a break from mmo’s for a bit! Anyone else gona jump on the no mmo bandwagon for a few months?!

No vehicles stops me from buying the game because I wanted it to have a kool vehicle crafting part to it where you'd get parts and put them together like you can do with the weapons. I mean very stupid to leave them out IMO and just shows that Bethesda was lazy with the mechanics of the game, the combat looks really akward and dated too.

I'm getting it when it comes out. I love Bethesda, and this game looks pretty good from my own standpoint. Does anyone know if they're going to have any sort of construction set like they did with Oblivion or is there any chance it'll have a strong modding comunity behind it? Thats one thing I loved about Morrowind and Oblivion, and it kept the life span of both those games at a huge high for me.

I ordered the Survival Edition from Amazon.com, which includes the lifesize PIPBOY3000 as well as the collector edition stuff. Can't wait for it to get here. FO3 will be consuming MANY nights and as many days as I can fit in, too.

Ive cancelled my 2 MMO accounts for now to play fallout 3.   very much looking forward to it. Im sure in time my MMOs will call me back but silly to pay till then. Games are not cancelled out of any protest or anything like that.

Just want to play this game and funds go only so far. )

Yeah.. I just sent in my cancelation request.  It wont run out till the first week of Nov. so if Fallout isnt what I hoped for I can still jump in.  (I'm a stay at home dad.. Gota have something!)  And even so, you can always just start you sub. back up anytime.

Fallout looks interesting, I saw an advert on TV for the xbox 360 version. Anyone know when the PC version comes out in England?

Nah people just download because they wouldn't pay for it anyways, sure a few people would end up buying it eventually if they couldn't pirate but on the whole it's because of money issues. My friends are at Uni and all low on cash so download games because they just can't afford to buy them all. The problem is now though multiplayer games are the ones people tend to buy because you ened cd keys to play online.

Somehow everyone who says this always manages to find money to buy beer every night.  And somehow Halo 3 is always just cheap enough to buy for college campuses.

You guys are killing PC as a platform for single player games.  I really dislike that.

I will be buying Fallout 3 for my PC, which cost a lot more than the games I've bought for it, and which I will enjoy playing quite a bit.

I can honestly say Ive never bought a pirated game. Ive been buying PC games for 20 years and a garage full of Cds to prove it heh. There  is no excuse to pirate games and steal money from the devs and game companies that make these games. There is no life or death situation here, just pure selfish motives that these people use to make excuses to pirate games.

You never HAVE to play a game. And its sad that peoples morals and dignity can be so low. Im very harsh on this as my wife is a software developer for the Air Force and understand how hard and time consuming it can be to make a workable product that can operate on multiple platforms of PC types.

Sorry to rant.

No if someone was giving out free razors in the pub and you took one, that isn't theft but it's the person whose distributing it that's doing the crime.

This is true, however, most if not all places that games can be downloaded illegally are peer to peer. So while your buddies are stealing games others are downloading off of them thus they too are committing a crime.

I'm a small business owner that is in its second year and have a 6 month old little one. I have "$0" in the budget for video games... So I take the high road and sell some of my oldies (Crysis, Half-life 2) on ebay. Toss in a season 6 of Stargate SG-1 and POW enough for Fallout.

I just wish there was a distinction between stealing games and selling your old ones on ebay. How do they get away with that DRM crap? If I want to sell my Nissan, will they block the new user from being able to drive it??

Wow.. This post turned into a bit of a rant outlet! LOL.. I feel a bit better.

Okay to clarify how stupid John's above post is, if someone is giving away free downloads of Fallout 3 and you accept don't even try to say it's their fault.  It's like blaming the car industry alone for global warming when  you yourself are sitting in the drivers seat of the very car or truck that is supporting the industry.

Give me a break to those that download games and don't pay for them and don't even pretend you're not to blame, get some morals.

Actually, it is. If you take or download something that has been illigaly copied or stolen, and you are aware of this, you have become liable for theft. That is the law. If you can't afford  to buy something as cheap as a game, then you probably shouldn't be worried about playing games anyway.
