Since early voting has already begun, issues are starting to arise. Please post any legitimate problems from your local areas here.

Atlanta, GA.

Problem: 19,000 absentee ballots were in jeopardy of not being read by the machines (as determined by testing).

Solution: New absentee ballots were mailed out and voters were guaranteed that every vote would be counted.

Problem: Current reports list >50,000 names purged from voter rolls (as many as 4500 are having their citizenship challenged, the remainder are mismatched information or typographical errors).

Solution: Provisional ballots are being supplied. The county officials will then decide whether or not the votes will be counted.

Of course none of this would happen if everyone was required to vote using a valid ID or their fingerprints.  But no we couldn't possibly have a system that actually made sure the people that voted were citizens.  That would be too burdening on voters that tend to vote a certain party.

It's pointless to listen to someone who will not listen to you

I just recently voted in Georgia (Cobb County) and I was required to present a Valid I.D.  It's my understanding that this is common place.  Some valid state recongnized I.D. has to be presented in order to vote.

It was the same here in Florida as well.  But Democrats will complain and fight it saying that it disenfranchises the "Poor" and "Minorities" when in fact they mean the "Dead" and "illegal aliens".

There is absolutely no reason why a valid picture ID should not be required for voting.  Or as I said fingerprints.  1 Fingerprint = 1 vote.

But anything that actually makes the validity of our Election Process greater is considered a hinderence by the Liberals/Democrats.

I wonder why that is?

GA does require a photo ID to vote.

The problem with the purging is the information entered on the voter registration does not match exactly with the photo ID. Perhaps all the information is accurate except for a letter missing from the name, or a number of the address is inaccurate. I'm all for preserving the integrity of the process, and I'm not accusing any side of generating discrepancies. I just want to get the issues out there and see which ones might be similar among other districts.

What is alarming is that some voters with discrepancies were mailed letters dated the 2nd of October. To avoid potential problems, these issues required action in less than 7 days, yet the letters were postmarked on the 9th. This does look suspicious and is under investigation.

Early voting is a practice in some states to open the polls prior to the November 4th election day. It offers more versatility to voters who might be traveling out of town, work odd shifts, or just want to avoid the long lines on election day. Prmarily though, it's to help the polling places manage and disperse the workload that will be required on the final day.

Georgia required? That's a good start... sadly it isnt standard... here in MA, I can tell you it ISNT required. All I need to do is state my name... Im not kidding. Hopefully the swing states will be smart and require IDs. Im not taking bets, but Im hoping.
