"MEDIC!!!"

I like horses and swords as much as the next guy/girl.  However sometimes I feel like I have killed all of the worthogs and goblins that I can stomach.  If I were to be whisped away to a land of dreams where I would like to stroll in an mmo where would it be?   I put a poll that you can vote on for the genre that you would want below.  In addition state anything that you would want as well =D

What Genre would you like to see?/see more of?

Science fiction Space.
Western(gasp*).
1700's.
Vampire.
No no no! I want more horsies and swords!
Present day.
Grand theft auto life.
Super hero.
Egyptian.
Tribal.

Definately Vampire and maybe even a combination of the present day with it. Something like Underworld I would imagine. That would be a awesome MMO, at least for my taste!

P.S.  Dont forget about the Lycans too!

Well, it depends.

What category would you put Shadowrun in?...perhaps Sci-Fi but not really "space". More likely Steampunk/Cyberpunk or Post-Apocalyptic.

Honestly though if it is a great game then it wouldn't matter if it were yet another Swords and Sorcery variant.

As much as I enjoy fantasy, it is so overplayed.  Sci-fi is a very distant second.

I think what would be really cool is a greek mythology/tribal mmorpg.

Maybe you start off as a normal human, but the more you worship a certain god/diety the more powers you get (as you level up of course ) :P

Actually, come to think about it, greek mythology would make a perfect mmorpg.

Im thinking kind of along the lines of star wars galaxies where you can pretty much do whateva you want and branch off into seperate "abilitiy trees".  Then, just like how you unlocked the jedi class in vanilla swg, you can unlock the "hero" class in this game and be granted super, hercules/Achilles powers.

OMG I THINK IM ON TO SOMETHING!!!!

Bring Vampire:The Masquerade to me as an mmo, and you got one happy puppy Present day or ancient times doesn't matter, as long as you avoid putting in elves, hobbits, orcs and all the other usual fantasy fillers. Stay true to the lore is basically what I'm saying. Would've been fun playing a Tzimisce with a flesh-crafted pet

I'd like to see a solid scifi or post-apocalyptic, or even cyberpunk as muffin mentions. Horror type would be interesting too. Maybe something along the lines of the string of paranormal fantasy type books that have come out lately like laurell hamilton's anita blake or kim harrison's stuff.

Youhave vampires, lycans, demons, witches etc, in our world, or in future somewhat. Could be a theme leading up to our destruction, then an expansion makes the whole world post-apocalyptic. That would be cool in that all the old world zones than people started would drastically change so it would be a completely new experience for vets too.

1700's.   World building and territory control

Debugging is twice as hard as writing the code in the first place. Therefore, if you write the code as cleverly as possible, you are, by definition, not smart enough to debug it.

It is interesting to see what people want, but I think it is right on.  People want to look into science fiction because it is something that may be coming within our life times.  I doubt we will revert back to horsies.  Anyways Vampires, yea, heck yea!  Vampires are always rad, but there would have to be some kind of hunter where you take sides and have awesome gangs because it would be silly to show up at a night club and everyone is a vampire, lol!

A vampire game based on the Wars between Vampires and Werewolves would be good

Is in development from the guys that made Eve, "World of darkness online". Got some mages and weird stuff too.

Anything but fantasy is the genres that need more games.  I would love a game really set in the dark ages without magic. Something mad max like would be nice too. Shadowrun would make a good MMO... H*ll, A Vietnam War MMO would be intresting too

they didn't say it's going to be like that though and it probably won't be..

World of Darkness

You are onto to something.  An idea that I've had written up for about six years now.  Except, instead of limiting it to Greek mythology, I would expand it to include the entire ancient Mediterranean.  That way you would have more diverse cultures and mysterious lands to explore.  It would be the bomb!

here it is

Yeh....I'll go with the SteamPunk ideas...

Also...modern day horror / sci-fi....maybe like X-Files like stuff.

And a futuristic apocolyptic game like Fallout.

But man....the Tad Williams "Otherland" mmorpg could have it all...I hope that game succeeds.
