Looks like history is repeating itself AGAIN!

Seems there are LOTS of pissed off paladins with the new round of nerfs... Kinda makes me glad my ret paladin got retired a few months ago... Atleast I'm not in the boat with the pissed off masses...

If you must know the reasons I quit were my guild stopped raiding and After playing the beta for a solid month I really began to dislike the game...

1.  Were Ret pallys being invited to raids in BC?     Not really
2.  Are Ret pallys going to be invited to raids in Wrath?   Yep, equally with most other specs

Now the reason people are upset

3. During beta testing, were Ret pallys much more powerful than they are now?  Yes, they were slightly OP and got their burst damage nerfed.

As opposed to other games (warhammer/AOC), WOW has very open beta testing, everyone knows what is going on.  The downside to this is that Ret pallys are forgetting that they are buffed from BC to Wrath, instead they are seeing they are nerfed from wrath beta to wrath live.

The pally outcry is not much different then the current mage and rogue outcry.  It's times like this when you can really tell the players who only have 1 real main character.  Those of us with multiple classes at 70 know things are really well balanced.

TO THE GROUND BABY!

It's an utterly pointless debate because all these Ret. Paladins don't understand what Beta is for, they were made really powerful IN BETA, and have been nerfed IN BETA.... none of this applies to the live game.   If people stopped whining they would realized they're still going to be more viable for raids then they ever have been, which is a buff, not a nerf.

I just canceled my account and will soon delete all my toons. I have never seen such an amount of discrimination and bias before. Its almost like they planned it out to make ret op to give them an excuse to nerf the class and make them even worse than they were.

Only Beta paladins have been nerfed.  Live Paladins are getting more raid viabilty.

Beta = testing.

no heh they really are nerfing them. Raid dps wise they arent bad below rogue and fury warrior but the same and other hybrid classes. They won't be running around 2 shotting people anymore though.

No need to freak out btw i mean a pally by description is a tank/healing hybrid....get used to it

I canceled and deleted everything on my account and gave it to some random person on another forum. I've played too many games that treat their customers like they are total suckers. I for one don't have any stomach for it anymore. Better fish in the sea. Next game up.

Anyone here play actually play a Ret in the beta?

No one? No one? Thought so.

I played a Ret in the beta up to Chamber of Aspects 10 man in full Naxx 10 man gear. I was no where NEAR top DPS. What I was near however was the BOTTOM. And this was at the height of Ret DPS.

This is TBC all over again for Ret Paladins. Get buffed up a lot then nerfed into the ground because of PvP whiners.

Its funny because they dont care about ret paladins.

because to buff ret they would have to nerf holy or prot....and thats never gonna happen

Yes, i love how blizzard makes the rich richer and the poor poorer, u give us dmg scaled for lvl 80 yet you feel we do too much burst on stunned targets. hmmm thats the point isnt it? but because all other classes bitch and complain on the forums that the silly ret pallies all of a sudden beat you down  nd do the dmg we should have been doing all along they smack us with a nerf bat cuz pallies are the minority in the great class debates. So blizz figures hey lets make everyone but pallies happy and nerf their dmg yet wait!! We should buff rogues and warlocks again with this next patch???? (10 sec CD on fan of knives?[devs said its supposed to be on oh Sh!t button. i guess not ] oh and buff pet anf fire dmg on locks hmmm?) its just silly, paladin are supposed to be a powerful class yet everytime blizz fixes us everyone else bitches and complains, hoepfully once wrath goes live they will realize that our dmg should have stayed the way it was and that we're not that OP and it goes back to our original dmg.   

p.s. oh and to all you 70's i was owning a week ago when i was just a lowly little 62 pally, sorry but thats just the way it went, and you officially suck at pvp.

I always thought ret. paladins as "comedy stunt jokes"  and today they still are...

I've hated paladins in vanilla, i didn't hate them much in TBC, now the horde finally got their blessings as well but i still thought paladins as a plague, since they were sorta.... goofy, just proved by their forum. "Paladins were made so i could watch pron while playing a paladin", loved that one.

More power to those who somehow found a way to keep playing a lollypop-din.

i got one and there fun as hell to heal and tank with even ret is fun just that spec is near pointless compared to the other two
